Thank goodness AI tools are out there to extract the essence of some of these vloggers. "Rev." Jim goes a bit high weirdo falsetto voice to sing to the camera. Cringo-extremeo IMO. At first I thought he was using some voice changer, but no, he's that strange in reality. What a show pony this guy is, no self-limiting self-effacement ability either. You can see the genetics at work, as father so goes the son. Unwatchable non AI slop.
He is creepy AF

That is the most fascinating mystery of the Woo and really one of the main reasons that originally brought me to this site -- to try and figure out just how much he earns/earned doing this.

I agree that he didn't have retirement accounts or traditional investments (beyond the couple of shares of Disney, Amazon, and Starbucks stock that he talked about in his videos), and that's what makes it so much harder to believe. Compound growth is a truly powerful force, but if all his money is in a checking account, he isn't getting that benefit. Instead, he's got to go about it the hard way: just saving it all.

Say he had $2M in the end. In order to get there, he would have had to have saved on average $125,000 per year throughout the 16 years he'd been posting videos to YouTube. That's not earnings; that's savings -- after everything: cost of living, the taxes he loved to witch about so much, the annual passes, the unnecessary hotel stays, the magnets, etc. How much would he have to earn in order to live his life AND to save such a significant sum? Sure, early on his expenses were very low when he was living in his van, and even later in his life, he avoided common high expenses like raising children, getting a divorce, driving a flashy car, paying higher education tuition, etc, Hell, he lived with roommates* until he was nearly 50.

But saving on average 6 figures a year for 16 years takes diligence, and that's where I wonder if it was possible. Remember, this is the guy who couldn't keep two servings of chickpeas in his house because he lacked the self-control to stop himself from just eating it all. Could he really put a hundred large into the bank every year and not be tempted to tap into it until the very end?

Of course, if YouTube was paying far more than the estimator sites believe, maybe that savings was just a small portion of what he was pulling in. Who knows?

It's a fascinating mystery that I fear will never be totally resolved.

*About that: It was a BIG DEAL when BLaB did whatever they did to break his lease, and it ruined the friendship. How much did he really lose there? A couple hundred? A few thousand? If someone is sitting on 7 figures, they don't destroy a relationship over such a comparatively small amount (unless, of course, there are other factors at play, which is very possible in this case).
There are a few things I can point out that help explain how the estimates of Adam's YouTube income (on the very high end) could have been correct, and how he might still have saved some money.

  • For much of his YouTube career, Adam's overhead (outside of the "work"-related things he spent money on and therefore mitigated somewhat by write-offs) was very low. Until he bought the house, his housing costs over his YouTube career were relatively tiny compared to most people.
  • He never married, he never had a kid, both of which are HUGE costs in the average person's life.
  • He never paid for life insurance or health insurance. He never went to the doctor so he really had zero medical costs during his YouTube career.
  • The aforementioned write-offs took the edge off of his increased travel spending, especially in the 2020s.
  • For MANY MANY years, he did sell merch and did solicit donations and he made a lot more than you would think on that, so much so that he felt bad continuing to take that money from his fans.
  • His dumb luck with the initial Disney stock investment ended up paying for his first couple of DVC point purchases.

THe ONLY major purchases he made in his entire life were the house and the remainder of the DVC points. He bought a modest car in 2019, and the golf cart. And I'll bet the golf cart was written off to the most extent possible.

As for the family's spending habits since Adam died, all I will say is that I think there's a reason that Faith rushed, egged on by her father, to get that "Official Adam The Woo Merchandise" site open ASAP. They knew they had to strike while the iron was hot, before the CoL, while Adam was still a hot topic due to his death. And I'm willing to bet that they brought in a VERY sizeable amount of money off that merch, and probably continue to get a decent amount even now.

They don't seem to be burning through his cash tho. They're holed up in his house and using his stuff, and now doing a bit of traveling but still fairly reasonable. They don't appear to be acting like lottery winners and buying all kinds of tit (cars, etc). Everything feels within reason of attempting to pick up where Adam left off and capture his followers. But they're videos look like they don't have the heart for it, and the YT market is def saturated and crowded.

Didn't Adam say that he put his entire savings in that initial Disney stocks purchase? That seemed like a highly risky gamble but it paid off very well for him when he cashed it out. I think this was at the end of 2021? It was after that when he went on a extravaganza spending spree with the DVC purchase, first class flight tickets, baseball dugout seats, VIP tickets, so on

Just checked and he said he cashed out his initial Disney stock on Dec 29, 2021.

At the top of this Mermaid and the Mooch video:

1781794033575.png

Faith kicks it off by saying:

"it is a gloomy day here. June gloom. June gloom is finally here. We, we're feeling it. It is overcast, raining. We have our, our raincoats on. We've woke up. It's been a sad morning already. I have been crying most of the morning. I am feeling really uh sad and kind of guilty that we're on this trip and I'm missing my brother a lot. Um but that's okay. It's part of it and it's it's a good thing to miss him because he was an awesome person."

The rest of the video is the usual, hiking and boring commentary about the scenery.

When they hit up this place, Faith says "Got some old Pepsi signs here", but they really aren't old, they are just dirty

1781795318208.png

They don't show their food, but mention what they order. Faith gets the Fishwich and Ryan gets TWO "plain burgers" and I think they shared fries.

In the next video, which is more hiking, beachcombing and boring commentary about the scenery, they slowly make their way south.

Later on they comes across a Mermaid-themed store and Faith dreams:

"If I were to ever open a store, you know, I would do it themed to a mermaid as well. I would also be using the word mermaid as many times as possible in my signage."

This is, finally, the last video before Astoria. They watch Goonies and eat pizza for dinner because they say "we'll be in Astoria tomorrow".

So in the 4 full days prior to arriving in Astoria, they managed to squeeze out SEVEN boring videos.

Daphne put out a video titled "I'm sorry" and looks to be crying in it. Anyone know what it's about? After that whole bizarre incident about not being invited to the funeral I don't bother much with watching her stuff.

I watched; it was just an "I'm sorry" for not posting any videos for a long time. She briefly mentioned Adam; something about a Motley Crue video he did with her, and her wanting to do more content like that (bands). Nothing too earth-shattering or dramatic. She seemed good.

OMG. This can't stand this person.
She must have worked really hard to get that perfect pose because I scanned the whole vlog and she's laughing and smiling widely throughout.

She looks rather healthy, which is good because no matter how annoying she may be I don't wish her ill health.

I believe she's been studying Adam's English because she said this:

"I know I talked about making a trip to Deadwood and that's still in fruition"

She let all her theme park passes expire and didn't renew them (even Universal).

She says she didn't post a video all this time because she was busy with work. But, also, she didn't know what "her voice" was on YouTube, what her niche is on the platform. Giggles, your niche is knowing and hanging out with Adam.

She makes zero mention of Chey, and I can tell you, not that I've seen every single story or every single post she may have made on IG, but she still hasn't posted a picture with Chey on her Instagram since January. So, I still wonder what that's all about.

She “let her theme park passes expire “ , I just wonder if Adam paid for Disney & Knotts , and Chey paid for her Universal pass with his employee discount 🤔🤔

Zero chance they're still together. He used to be all over her IG. Wouldn't surprise me if he had enough of her tit with the whole Adam-adjacent drama after his untimely passing and said peace out.

Without the Adam connection, these two would have really low views. They should consider flopping back into the sea of obscurity and give up the YT gig, they're not good at it. Adam was a bombastic boob hurtling into annihilation, there was a sense of drama, a feeling something was going to go off the rails, but with these two boring duds there is nothing.

My only guilty pleasure is skimming through the Carpetbagger's videos these days and watching that weird dynamic play out between him and long suffering Jenny Penny. Carpetbagger has the same drive and obsession with daily vlogging as Adam, yet he never got the daily view count up towards Adam's numbers. He has the same fixations on Halloween haunts and other childish fare too. There's a tattle thread on Carpetbagger, but it seems Reddit is the place to make comments about him. Too bad, I don't post on Reddit. If I did, I'd add this:

They spent time in ONP and still call it "The Olympic National Park"? There is no "the", dumbasses. Also, capitalizing "the" is making me irrationally annoyed. Furthermore, they go to the wettest rainforest in the United States and are calling it June gloom? Maybe don't go to a rainforest if clouds and rain make you feel sad. I was there last month and couldn't have enjoyed it more.

He may not have ever gotten the 3-4 million views per month that Adam got in his heyday, but his views are really incredibly consistent, much more consistent than Adam's from 2020-2025

And, unlike Adam, Jacob has absolutely zero issue with taking advantage of his audience at every turn.

Jacob currently:

  • Has an affiliate link the sell to perv glasses he wears
  • Begs for money on Patreon
  • Sells videos on Cameo
  • Has a Spreadshirt shop
  • Has an Etsy shop
  • Takes straight out "donations" on Paypal

I can't think of possible avenue of revenue he's not tapping...so I'm sure he's making a pretty penny (pun intended) on all that.

While Adam still expected his audience to sit through his awful, low-effort crap videos and acted like he was doing them a favor by posting them, at least he never got a list as long as the above and he shut it down (slowly, but he did) after he was making good money on his videos.

She said that since Six Flags now owns Knotts, she kept the Six Flags AP for that.

She also said she was too busy working to put out a video - that she started Warner Brothers as a barista and now she is in "studio operations". That's quite a career path but good for her if she is advancing at WB. If that the case, then why bother putting out videos, do you really need the money?

She claims to be finding her niche and rambles on about films and shows that she like (I haven't really heard of most of them). I really doubt that she has an substaniable audience that would be interested in hearing what she likes. The only draw she might possibly have is her background with Adam.

Adam for years wanted her to quit her adult work. To that end, he helped her launch her YouTube channel by appearing in virtually every video she put out. But at some point, she didn't want to appear with Adam anymore. She later claimed it was for her own mental health. But when Adam died, she put out a couple of remebrance videos. This was understandable; his passing was shocking and she must have been genuine grieving. But then came the DBJ debacle, and she's been off YT till now.

Honestly, she should just focus on her WB career, which (according to her) is taking off. She doesn't need to put out videos. Let's face it, whatever fanbase she had was because of Adam. I don't think she has retained any of that base. I can't see her attracting new fans on YouTube. Plus it seems like being off social media has done her good.

And I don't know if she is still seeing Chey. They were together at the Adam's CoL in early March, but not sure if she was seen with him since (though I think dirtnap might have said there were photos of them in late March, but it might also have been a monthly compilation).
