Tbf the info of who’s on the mortgage is on the land registry so anyone can look

The Land Register in Scotland is different to the Land Registry in England and Wales. In Scotland very limited info is available for free - so if the person above does know the above information is 100% true just from what is on the Land Register then they will have paid for title sheet with all the information about boundaries of the house, owners etc. Which is a bit weird IMO, even if it’s public and anyone can buy it who even cares enough about a stranger to do that
