30th Birthday Idea’s

So… I’m fast approaching the big 30 and trying to plan an abroad trip!
So far the list of options is…
- Florida and a cruise to the Caribbean
- LA & Hawaii
- Dubai

What did you do? What would you want to do? I desperately need some inspiration

Note: It’s in March so the weather may be quite cold which is making things more complicated

Mines this year and I always wanted to go to Vegas. Think it’ll get pushed back to next year now but it’s still on my list of places to go and I’m definitely going!

Oooh ermmm …
- We went to see Chris Brown (controversial, I know ) at Drais and just to see the views and the atmosphere was amazing
- The Fremont St experience was incredible - try to prebook the zip wire as there was about a 2hr wait while we were there
- We took a helicopter ride to the canyon, it was a great one time experience but I wouldn’t rush to do it again
- I loved the Caesar’s Palace all you can eat brunch… so much choice and they are very plentiful with the drinks
- We saw a show at CP too, that was good but quite expensive
- One night we got drinks and sat outside New York New York and it was great to just people watch and soak in the atmosphere

… I really want to go back now

I was unfortunately locked up in a psych ward And the same for my 31st, it was lockdown anyway.
I plan on a trip to barcelona for my next birthday. Florida is ok, I’ve been there a lot but it will be chilly in March. Never been to Dubai but it looks amazing. I recommend South Africa, the big national parks are incredible

Sorry to hear that, I hope you’re feeling better now! I love Barcelona, you’ll have a great time! Yeah, that’s my concern about Florida at that time of the year. We once went in December and the oranges froze it was that cold . Oooh I hadn’t even thought of South Africa, great shout! Where would you stay?

yep, Florida can get really cold! My mum lived there for a while and it even snowed once!

I actually stayed on a private reserve near Pilanesberg National Park. So we didn’t stay on site but there are some lovely places in the park and animals even wonder through the camps! There are walking safaris and driven too and options to go to the local resort at sun city (which is great fun!). It’s a beautiful country.

I spent my 18th and 21st birthdays locked in psych wards. Very much hoping my 30th doesn't end up that way! Hope you're doing a little better, it's a tough ride.

Brilliant! My year-of-freedom-anniversary this time around is in December - it's also the month of my 30th, hopefully not a bad omen! I'm okay, riding the waves but altogether not too bad!

I second Bali. It’s soooo cheap but so so beautiful.
I went for a week a couple of years ago with a few friends, we stayed in a massive private villa with a pool and only cost us £10 each per night.

The island has amazing night life, beach bars and beach club, absolutely gorgeous scenery, beaches and waterfalls. The locals are so friendly and there’s so much to do. You really do get the best mixture of peaceful places and party places.

I spent my 30th at a little cottage in the Cotswolds it was last year so couldn't travel very far.
I would love to go to the Caribbean.

What do you recommend to do there

I'd also recommend the red rock scooter tours! So much fun. They pick you up from the hotels on the strip.

I didn’t realise 30th birthdays were so special to be honest. I spent a weekend in the lakes but it was just before lockdown.

Me either, I just went to Clumber park with my mum and two dogs.
