Had the courage to make a phone call

Had a slow morning as the kids are home today (kindergarten is on strike), no rushing around, didn't even get up until 8am 😌

Will report back for number three, it’s only 10am 😅

Managed to grab a longer lunch break than normal.

Had a good sing this afternoon to try and give me an energy burst to get through the afternoon.

Had a lovely shower - is it just me or do some showers just hit differently to others?

My 14 yr old , he's fairly a good eater , will eat curry but only a tikka massala. Never really liked bell peppers.. until yesterday. I made delicious chicken, chorizo and pepper kebab skewers. He ate the lot & what he said made me smile.

Mum , on our Easter holiday I saw a young kid pick his whole plate of food apart & leave most of it and thought I don't want to be like that so now I'll just eat everything I'm given. My eldest requested a curry sauce a few days ago , a little more spicy than a tikka, the rest was in the fridge and he took some out ate it and said he appreciates spices and that they add more taste to the foods .

Anyway , being a foodie who loves to cook this made me smile 😊 because now I don't need to dumb down the spices or eliminate anything.

I'm going through a difficult time but one thing which made me smile was an email from a friend who has just got out of hospital and is very excited.

He didn't want me to visit him in hospital as he felt so fragile. Now we can meet up soon 🎉
