Haha I remember i had a clear chair wirh orange circles. I loved that chair and thought I was the absolute dog's bollocks sat on it reading my little magazine. One argument with my brother and bam, the fucker popped it with a pair of scissors. I was heartbroken 😂
You can find comfort in the fact that even without his scissors it would have broken soon after by itself I guess 🤣

I’ve just watched the BBC England 06 doc (for the vibes, not the football) and the nostalgia is killing me 😭

I was 20 at the time so I’m definitely looking back with rose tinted glasses but bloody hell I can’t believe it was 20 years ago.

Also I am glad to see that Ashley Cole has aged terribly. That’s the karma you get for cheating on the nation’s sweetheart xoxo
I think he's an absolute bellend, but I think he looks great and has aged really well.

BBC iplayer put that documentary on which originally got Stacey Dooley noticed back in 2008. Even if she is a bit of a twonk now you can see how she was the breakout star from it.

But got me thinking about BBC3 in the 00's. The target audience was teens and early 20's, but they absolutely seemed to hate their own viewer demographic. Every programme was about how shit young people all were, how can we humiliate them, what situations can we put them in where they all look like whiney brats.

But for some reason, even though I was that age, I guess I lapped it up.

I have a limited edition still in the box 😂 Crapbag bought me it when we were young. He didnt know me very well back then 😂 its only still boxed because it got chucked to the back of a wardrobe!

Groovy Chick was everywhere in the 2000s, I'm assuming its mostly disappeared now.

The other thing that was everywhere, and does seem to have stuck around a bit were Me To You bears.

The BBC show Child Of Our Time
I loved this show! It's a shame towards the end less and less of them wanted to take part. Some of the interesting ones weren't documented at the end and it was mostly the irritating ones!
The disabled lady who's son died did a documentary a few years ago, it was so devastating 😢

This is more 10s than 00s but I’ve just randomly remembered those rhinestone and plastic crap covered phone cases you’d get in Japanese shops. I remember getting one from the Japanese shop in Eldon Square in Newcastle when I was at uni (mine was less blingy than the one in the photo). It scratched the sides of my phone and was near impossible to get on and off.
I low key still love these but not sure I can pull it off as a 41 year old living in muddy Sussex with the whole wax jacket / Land Rover / Spaniel aesthetic I seem to have going on 😅😬

I do have a Swarovski crystal covered lighter that lives in *that* kitchen drawer for candle lighting - Mr Fluff hates it but it’s my greatest 00s throwback item 😅😅

I remember Robert Winston was annoyed they kept cutting down the episodes the closer it got to 2020. I wish we could get an update on the ones they stopped filming. I want to know what happened to the little boy who had to keep moving because of domestic violence or something like that? I remember his mum was called Carol

I remember this one 🙁

Do any of you follow Ash Holme and Jack Remmington? For anyone who doesn’t know they are best friends who met on The X Factor. They spoke recently about some of the fakery around the show
