First time poster. I only just found out about Tattle. God I have been itching for this kind of analysis for MONTHS!

So I have a story - circling back to 29th April, the night before Deni announced they were going to Paris to heal. The night he kicked Mitchell’s fence down or whatever.

I was out at Night Cat Fitzroy with my boyfriend and friends to see Bigwett. Deni was there with his (then) partner Mitchell - who is only 23, might I add. This was when he was supposedly sober, though I can assure you - he definitely wasn’t! He took the dance floor by storm, clearing out a huge space for himself and put on the wildest performance - dancing with a fast and frenzied energy the likes of which I have never seen. He used props for different songs - for example, for ‘Yeah’ by Usher he literally snatched my friends hat and shirt without asking and became a 90s hip hop star. He twerked and humped the floor with such ferocious enthusiasm that the entire club seemed to shake. At one point he poured an entire pint of beer all over his own head, before promptly grabbing my friends drink because he was out.

We didn’t know what to think. We all stopped dancing for a bit and stood pressed against the wall watching like stunned mullets. We were partly impressed and loving the outrageousness of it all, and partly taken aback and a bit put off. A few other people were stopped and watching too. I got the feeling that Mitchell was feeling kind of embarrassed about the whole thing. He wasn’t dancing too much himself, more just focused on Deni’s antics. Deni would do things in his dance routine like grab Mitchell by his t-shirt, pull him in sexily, and then aggressively push him away - before sassily strutting off.

Ultimately my boyfriend and I left with a pretty off feeling about the entire thing. We had never seen anyone behave like that and talked about what he might have been high on, and whether or not he might have a personality disorder - but it was nothing we could recognise. Mere hours after Bigwett + DJs finished, Deni posted something on insta about ‘loving nights out sober’. That was also obviously the night he kicked Mitchell’s fence in.

I’m not recounting my experience at Nightcat purely to mock or denigrate Deni - clearly he has some serious mental health issues and I hope he finds the support he needs and learns to take responsibility for himself. But it’s now at the point where his behaviour is SERIOUSLY damaging the community he claims to care about. Poor mental health is no excuse. We don’t accept it as one for straight men who murder their families. Being queer/trans doesn’t make you above criticism. At some point you have to be responsible for your own actions. The constant threat of suicide is just another classic abuse tactic. ‘Don’t criticise me or I’ll kill myself’. Extremely manipulative and controlling behaviour.

Clearly the gang rape didn’t happen - and I’m someone who is always inclined to believe sexual assault victims/survivors. But it CLEARLY didn’t happen, and lies like these are so incredibly damaging to the credibility of actual victims/survivors. It’s already hard enough being believed. This is all so incredibly f**cked up and makes a complete mockery of decades upon decades worth of feminist efforts.

Deni continually positions himself as a victim, but I see him as more of a perpetrator. He has perpetrated abuse toward his ex partner (and turned the court case into a sassy fashion moment, making light of intimate partner violence), seems to have stolen money from the public (via the trans lives matter fundraiser) and is now harming the community he has always claimed to speak up for with his lies about sexual assault.

I had a pretty off feeling about Deni even months before the great spiralling - just never thought he was a very compelling activist or intelligent thinker. I find his politics to be fluffy pop activism with little substance, and he has a very authoritarian air about him. He’s just loud / pushy / over confident and fits into a lot of the marginalised identity categories that the left actively make space for (which in general is obviously a good thing). But I truly believe that Deni is disingenuous - desperately and cynically grasping at and exaggerating every marginalised identity he can possibly think of to acquire an audience and a platform, to build his career and to garner sympathy and admiration for ‘being so strong’ in the face of such unrelenting hardship and oppression. Ultimately he is fame hungry and self serving. It’s insincere - transparently so - and does nothing to help those who are genuinely marginalised and suffering. In actual fact he’s creating a lot more damage than good.

I think a lot of brands that partnered with Deni initially did so as an easy ‘diversity quota tick of the box’, because that’s what smart brands realise they have to do now - regardless of whether or not they are truly switched on politically. During a time in which representation has become a clever and even cynical marketing strategy, Deni was an easy win - queer, non-binary, trans, brown, neurodiverse and now miraculously Jewish! Not sure anyone actually thought too much about the substance of his ideas or what kind of person he is.

Contacted the Lost Dogs Home, they obviously couldn't tell me much but it was clear to me Rebel was returned voluntarily. They shared the same concerns for her. They apologised and said when they send these pets to a new family they never expect these things to happen. Said the family would have been given education on specific greyhound care (which was clearly disregarded).

They said due to the public nature and situation they may take her online listing down and wait for the right family to come in. They also said she is a beautiful dog and is receiving lots of TLC.

It's going to be looked into and will hopefully result in them being banned from adopting in the future.

It was abhorrently wrong for Deni to ever adopt her. Then keep her for the 40 days, whilst barley there and treating her like shit. I flagged she may have some increased anxiety and abandonment issues.

Ultimately it was the right thing for her to be handed back. I'm at least thankful for that. I pray dear sweet girl will find her forever home

Probably going to sound all sentimental here but if there is one single thing I'm grateful to Deni for, it's learning of tattle.

The comraderie, support, team work (like A-grade-netball-team worthy), wit, humour and investigative skills is just superb. An absolute pleasure to be on the team.

We wanted to see you represented in media and marketing. We wanted to hear your thoughts on the radio and tv. We wanted you to be safe where you go and have access to infrastructure that you need.

And by you, I mean y’all. Everyone from your community. Rabbi Shlomo, Amenhotep, Hong, Tutankhamen, Hassan, Slobodan, Sarah Jessica Parker.

So in keeping Victoria Beckham safe, if she ordered Manolo Blahniks from Depop and they never come, we have her back. If it turns out Tutankhamen has kept her money and the shoes to put in his crypt, the allies come out of the woodwork because not only of a false promise but to protect innocent people like SJP.

If the call is coming from inside the house, the worst thing us outsiders can do turn off Hassan’s voice or grab our pitchforks and come after the Rabbi because of what Tutankhamen did.

Long time lurker, first time poster

Don’t want to doxx myself but I’ve been following this thread for a while & the latest revelations regarding Deni’s ‘sock puppet’ accounts set some alarm bells ringing!

I work in fashion & can confirm I was contacted by Deni in a professional capacity in 2019 (back when he was a stylist with DLM)

Am attaching (redacted) screenshots of the email address & signature on the email I received from him - I think these might be of interest to you all?!

I’d probably fall into his target demographic (gay, early 30s) and literally none of my friends know who he is, except for my poor bestie who is now only aware because of all my second hand trauma dumping. Tattle has truly kept me sane these last few months. If I didn’t have this outlet and the reassurance that other people are seeing and talking about how fucked this has been, I think I’d have exploded. Thanks everyone for the laughs and for eloquently putting into words so many of my thoughts and feelings. When I run here to share something it’s pretty much always already been said or shared by someone who can express things in a much better or nicer way than I would have.
Sorry to get soppy on you all, but I’m feeling a weight lifted and a sigh of relief after Pablo’s stories tonight. Finally someone is listening. I’m proud of you all.

I hope I word this in a way that doesn’t make anyone feel offended, but I am absolutely sick to death of the increasing amount of free passes being handed out to excuse poor behaviour and diminish pain caused to victims, by using mental health, neurological disorders and drug & alcohol use as the reason.

Deni has so far gotten away with so much more than any run-of-the-mill influencer - he’s wildly offensive, crude, using drugs, flashing his genitals, defaming individuals and businesses, engaging in destructive behaviour and… what’s the recourse? This Tattle thread is currently the only thing holding him to any kind of accountability. Nadia Bartel did a few lines in private and was absolutely hung out to dry by the media because she’s generic and can’t scream discrimination. How is that fair?

I understand minority groups often have it tough in this country, I really do, but where do we draw the line? Drug addicts receiving lesser sentences purely because of their addiction. People committing violent acts and not receiving the condemnation they deserve because they have mental health problems. Young offenders being given multiple chances because they’ve had a tough start to life. It’s getting out of control.

Deni is a violent, predatory, narcissistic drug user. At this point, I feel like he knows he can get away with anything because anyone who tries to hold him to account is a racist transphobe. It’s a power that he knows he holds, and this untouchable God complex he’s walking around with, quite honestly, makes me sick.

No longer concerned with pronouns, Denisaurus Rex / Regina George (whichever you prefer) showed us the last 12 months is nothing but water under the bridge. Actually, after some investigation we have been struggling to find what bridge in Geelong that might be.

The Garage Sale era proved to be the deathknell for Darling West though. It turns out no one wants to buy his tchotchke and sadly not enough funds were raised to ensure that the cafe could continue. Shalom, my avocado smash.

No one wanted footy boxes. With the AFL season over, the netty season is here and I would kindly ask everyone to cut their nails back. We’ve had to deny membership to anyone with talons coz the klutz can’t pass the ball.

But the show must go on. Life is like a box of chocolates. You may as well nosh on the whole box even though it wasn’t gifted to you.

Mixing meds and mimosas turned out to be a mistake and the meshugana went into a 2 week social media hiatus for a couple of hours. Just enough time for a rebrand. Mistaking the top of his head for his anus, Deni bleached his hair and eyebrows for no known reason but still managed to look like an arsehole.

The spiralling continued. Innocent people got hurt and Tattle got the blame. Not even the IDF could save Deni. Shame on those Tattlers who stopped him from graduating from cobbler college. Or the ED who let him escape. OR the AFP for leaking the airport photos. There is still hope his friendship with Clem Ford can be saved.

Hopefully Deni will take some time out to repent. Black Sabbath era. Rock Schmooze in a marquee at the Bunnings sausage sizzle.

In all seriousness though, if Kimberly Noel Kardashian taught us anything, vintage Histronic Personality Disorder styled with DHGate narcotics is a crime against fashion. Enablement comes in many forms and anyone who is doing anything but working on your complete recovery is nothing but a red flag Ratko. Fashion is worthless without the label… and you’ve all but cut them off.
