Well, I just found out this was on here. So thanks for the kind words, support and like... A dozen messages about Cat šŸ˜‚ I hope you're finished screenshotting my stories now anyway cos it's a wee bit creepy and I didn't really expect such a response from what was basically just me feeling sarcy and annoyed. And remember, if fudgie invites you for a run and a sausage bap say no. Soph

Another newbie! Tired of the crap they spout and frankly itā€™s dangerous to newer runners. Apols in advance for the long rantā€¦..

I started following Kelly when I was a similar level - mum with a young family and just doing what I could (although I also work full-time so I never understood the adoration she received). Then watching the affair play-out on social media and people still fawning over them ā€˜aw you guys.ā€™ Those poor kids seeing all that one day.

I love the marathon and my goals always centre around that. Most my other times are similar (slightly faster) and my marathon PB is nearly an hour quicker. I never race the shorter distances whilst in marathon training, because the marathon is my main goal (and because I do enough running without abandoning / dragging my family around races all year). If her goal really is the marathon, then sheā€™d be better to just focus on that. But it canā€™t be with the way she trains!

All that matters to them is the likes / freebies / insta-fame. Thatā€™s why itā€™s the constant races, small PBs and marathon blow-up. And heā€™s never PBā€™d since his first marathon! Be interesting to know if he was coached for his firstā€¦.

My prediction for Amsterdam? Sheā€™ll go out too quick. Sheā€™ll say sheā€™s aiming for sub-4 but sheā€™ll feel ā€˜goodā€™ and ā€˜strongā€™ so try and do a sub-3.45 but then the wheels will come well and truely off around 18/19 miles and weā€™ll have a repeat of Berlin. Iā€™ve followed all sorts of plans and Iā€™ve never seen one ā€˜racingā€™ a 22 miler or with an all-out half 2 weeks before.

60 mile running weeks?! WTA. Iā€™ve seen ultra runners do less. Needing him to pace her to break a 4.45 after 60 mile weeks and her easy pace apparently being her HM pace? Seriously. Where is the admiration coming from? Oh look at me, Iā€™m a full-time average runner with a live-in ā€˜coach,ā€™ kit I donā€™t have to pay for, races I probably get paid to run, kids in nursery/school, no job and I need a personal pacer to break a 4.45. NO disrespect to people who have that marathon as a PB, they probably train far more sensibly!

Then weā€™ll get that saying that makes me want to vomit ā€˜the marathon is a beast that doesnā€™t owe you anything.ā€™ BORE OFF. If you trained sensibly, fuelled
properly and donā€™t got off too fast like an idiot, you can well and truly own the marathon. She makes running seem so unattainable.

Apols for the long post. Just so over this utter tripe. Donā€™t even get me started on the elapsed times and the fact she wears carbon plated shoes for every ā€˜session.ā€™ Itā€™s all lies.

I have a confession to make that Iā€™ve been actually jealous of Kelly during this ā€˜training blockā€™. Sheā€™s smashed her 20 miler whereas I go nowhere near her pace in training. However, I followed a plan and ran London on Sunday. Not only broke sub-4, but got a good for age with a negative split & last mile the fastest. I owe it to Kelly and would like to thank her for showing me what not to do!

Just read back all you posts from her running. Loved them šŸ¤£.
As I said, I did 3.50 today, 2nd attempt at a maratho. . Iā€™ve only been running a few years and looked to people like her to see how they were training. Iā€™m glad I quickly had the sense to realise it was insane. I started modestly. Infact I did have some serious doubt at the 10k point when I realised it had taken just under 56 minutes to get there . I worried Iā€™d been too conservative and might not sun 4 which was all I was after after doing it last year in 4.05. Howverr I held firm to my strategy and continued trying to pick up the pace each 10k. The result?! 3.50.08 with positive splits. Iā€™m an average runner. Infact I doubt myself most the time. . Donā€™t run with a club. My kids join me for runs , as I donā€™t bother about pace. I just run for fun. Our different results speak today speak volumes . Iā€™m walking on air šŸ„°

I stumbled across an earlier iteration of this thread when googling how Ben Parkes had done at UTMB (my guess was right) but have since been consumed by the welshtits thread instead. Compulsive reading!

Caught up on a couple of these threads but I'm struggling as often people are referred to by names rather than actual Instagram usernames. Worked some out but not others.

Is there a handy list of the main accounts commented on anywhere so I don't have to try and find the right account?

Besides the Welsh duo my main scorn is Ben is running and his lack of being able to eat, drink, film or wear anything without it being sponsored by the world and its wife.
This index should get you through for nowā€¦

Coffee tits = morningcoffeerun

Sex offender/sex pest = Fudgieruns now Instafudgie. This could also be ash_runs because heā€™s also a fiddly little pervert.

Gropebus = Pauladdicott

Boomshakatwatter = A new one I just made up but is Nick Bester.

welshtits/nutellatits/wellogs = thewelshrunner and kelloggsontherun.

Onlyfansanya = Anya Culling.

PMG = Projectmarathongirl.

whatcharlierbeggednext = Whatcharlierunnext.

Would sell his wife and kids to whore himself out for a freebie = Marcusruns.

Cockney wideboy mullet = Lloyd Kempson.

Self obsessed hair flicking, attention seeking, drama queen = charlotteclark

Fake beans = Therunnerbeans.

I purchased 10k followers the day I launched my business and Iā€™m on my 100th weekly comeback = Carlamoves.

The shittest warmup drills reel maker and who paid $80 to have it posted on some runninginstagram page = Alexm_16.

The Boston Beg (not our Kels) = Annatherunner.

Runtwatrun = runrutrun.

Marcodelblaggsio = Marcodelwattsio.

Just catching up yesterday's drama now, what a riot.

A few highlights:
  • Matt saying she's looking strong and on track at MILE 2 as if there aren't another 24 miles to go šŸ˜‚
  • Matt no longer posting to his story when she starts slowing down badly
  • Her Strava graph looking like the cross section of Oblivion as usual
  • The contrived Instagram post pretending it was the best day ever with a deluded positive spin on it as usual
  • The INSANE fawning comments as usual
  • The lost GoProšŸ˜
  • The fact that she's a FT running influencer and "coach" (who is also being "coached") and has made it her primary goal to BQ over the last few years, yet still can't run a marathon without completely blowing up and having to painfully walk/trudge the last 5-10 miles
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if this was all an elaborate troll job. Surely nobody is this daftšŸ˜

As was mentioned a few pages back, she would legitimately be better off if she sacked Matt as a coach and only took advice from these threads. I ran my 2nd marathon yesterday, novice hobby runner, no coach etc. Took into account some advice posted in here (easy means easy, don't peak too soon, don't go out too fast etc) and ran a shade over 3 hours with a 1:29 first half and a 1:31 second half. I know everyone has bad races sometimes, but I can't understand how she gets it so badly wrong almost every time. Each marathon must be such a miserable day out for her.

EDIT - congrats to everyone else in here who ran yesterday. Sounds like there was some excellent, sensible racing taking place resulting in loads of new PBs. Not bad for a bunch of online bots

Tits post about Kelly šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®
Seeing as you read here Matt, what you wrote in your post is shameful. Kelly does not work hard. I DFAFF if she runs on tired legs or if she got up to race after 3 hours sleep. She is a parent to 4 children and had been away for them for 3 days. She should have come home, spent all of today doing what they wanted instead of what she wanted and then thought about her sleep.

If you want to discuss hard work, ask my wife. She is working throughout her summer holidays at summer school as well as planning lessons ahead of the new term. My neighbour, who works on behalf of traveller communities, hasnā€™t been seen in weeks because their situation has become so bad since the government changed the rules. Another neighbour, a police officer, is so worried about the rising COL, she did overtime (100s of miles away) at the commonwealth games so she could afford the months ahead.

The ā€œworkā€ you talk about is meaningless. You have had a free holiday where you barely did anything to earn it. You donā€™t deserve the races/times/kit you get. You wonā€™t pay any attention to this because you are a) too ignorant to understand and b) too narcissistic to care. One day this will be gone and then where will you be?

There was a horse that ran at Ascot yesterday called Rolling the dice, it was 200/1 and came nowhereā€¦I had to check that the jockey wasnā€™t called Matt Rees
