I personally think its the police clutching at straws again desperate to pin in on someone so they can finally close the case. Kate and Gerry McCann are the culprits. Its been widely known kate couldnt cope with madeline, they routinely drugged the kids so they wouldn't wake up whilst they partied and why else would the cadaver dogs pick up corpse scents on her clothes and toys and not to mention their hire car. The information is endless pointing to them.

I fucking hate the McCanns. Ultimately they are responsible for this. If they’d taken proper care of their children this wouldn’t have happened. I’m sick of seeing Kate’s simpering face walking around with ‘cuddle cat’ when her gross negligence as a parent was to blame.

There are so many people missing- why do they not get the same level of attention and money put into their searches?! Because Kate and Gerry are middle class they’ve always been viewed as respectable and beyond derision and people merrily chuck thousands of quid at them to find Madeleine.

Andrew Gosden is the perfect example of another missing child- and his case hasn’t had a tenth of the the coverage theirs has.

If I was to leave my house unlocked and fuck off down the road to eat tapas and drink, and some sick fucker walks in my house and takes my kid, I’d be to blame because I should have locked them in and stayed home to take care of them.

Fucking McCanns.They boil my piss.

The parents weren't involved, they were just very, very stupid and are now paying for it for the rest of their lives. It's clear in their body language and constant efforts to keep Maddie in people's minds, that they had nothing to do with it.

That poor little girl probably died within hours of being taken.
They are paying for the rest of their lives?
And Madeleine most likely paid for it WITH her life!
Still, they had a great night out with their friends, eh?
I bet they never left their passports and cash on the bed in their unlocked apartment in case they were stolen, but they were quite happy to leave their children in that very same UNLOCKED apartment.
For 2 highly educated people it does not make sense as to why they thought for one second that behaviour was acceptable yet didn‘t they do it every night?
Disgraceful behaviour.

I’ve said from the very beginning of this case that if the McCanns were from a council estate holidaying at Butlind and left their kids to go out for a meal, they would have been vilified in the press and would likely have had the twins taken off them. The thing that convinced me something was off was when she washed “Cuddle Cat”. As a mum, you just wouldn’t.

Absolute bollocks. Amarel was a crook as proven, & tried pinning Maddies disappearance on the McCanns because he didn’t have a clue. His tactics were disgusting & ultimately hindered the investigation along with the useless Portuguese police’s handling of the case, let alone the media frenzy to begin with.

The McCanns have done a wonderful job bringing up the twins & keeping them at arms length & out of the media’s eye throughout everything. It’s a shame the media done what they always do. How disgusting.
Too bad they didn’t do a wonderful job when leaving small kids alone in an unlocked apartment

Blimey. Not gonna lie, I had my suspicions over the parents but I would love to be proved wrong. I hope we finally get answers.

Congratulations to the people on here who've finally cracked the case, managing to do it from behind your screens with a bunch of complete strangers. FFS.
The McCanns have suffered enough without the vultures who seem to revel in their pain and distress and seem hellbent on proving their guilt, despite there being no evidence whatsoever. The Portuguese police investigation was a disaster and steeped in corruption. The child is dead, of course she is, but how anyone can think for a minute that her parents did it I have no idea. The forums talk absolute shit - so much of what has already been mentioned here is pure fabrication
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

On holiday when you go out for the evening would you leave your passport, cash and jewellery on the bed of an unlocked apartment? No of course you wouldn’t. Yet they left their CHILDREN, the most precious and valuable of all in an unlocked apartment.
These are highly educated people yet we are supposed to believe that they felt this was normal?

Good lord. It’s not self righteous to say you wouldn’t (or haven’t) left your three babies night after night alone and crying in an unlocked apartment in a foreign country so you could go and have wine & tapas 🤷‍♀️

The kids shouldn't have been left, but to say the parents are 100% responsible implies that someone who potentially abducted, brutalised, assaulted, murdered and dumped her body holds no responsibility.

I find the lynch mob and pitchfork movement towards the McCanns to be really puerile and I thought we'd left that behind.

I agree there is implications to do with class and that other missing persons cases don't receive anywhere near the same exposure, but it's incredibly rare for such a small child to go missing in those circumstances, and for no evidence to be found.

We all know Gerry and Kate made a huge mistake, but going on and on about it isn't going to make a difference.
But many people do not agree with your overwrought assertion that Madeleine was “abducted, brutalised, assaulted, murdered and dumped”. This is a highly emotive way to describe something for which there is (as you yourself say) not a shred of evidence. Without evidence these things took place only in people’s’ imaginations, sprouting from the seed planted by the McCanns.

There is however very interesting evidence to support the theory that Madeleine died in the apartment, probably by falling, and the parents covered it up. This too is only a theory. But it holds just as much water (more, in many peoples’ opinion) than the abduction theory simply because there is much more evidence pointing in that direction.

Being angry at the McCanns, their disgusting treatment of their own children, their endless fundraising, their paying off the mortgage with those funds, their hiring of PR gurus and ongoing manipulation of the media, their refusal to answer police questions, their pushing for public funding for an entirely pointless investigation and at the end of the day their getting away with child endangerment at the very least and possibly much more than that - this is not “puerile”; it is entirely reasonable. If that makes me a member of the “lynch mob and pitchfork movement”, sign me up.

Don’t mention Cummings,
Don’t mention track and trace,
Don’t mention protests,
Don’t mention racism,
Don’t mention the economy,

Don’t mention the airline industry struggles,

Remember Madeline McCann everyone. 😬

Since the initial conspiracies about possible sex rings and trafficking, part of me has hoped that she is dead. That sounds awful and I’ll probably get back lash for it, but I’d much rather her be dead and at peace than think of her injuring years and years of abuse and misery.
fully agree. I hope she died before she left the apartment and she’s been at peace since then. The alternative seems much worse.

I don't think the children were being checked as much as they say. Can you imagine out to dinner and drinks and every 5 minutes a few people are bobbing up to look in on their kids. You'd get caught in conversation lose track of time and an hour would quickly pass.
I wish people would stop defending them for leaving their kids. No one does it and if you do you need to stop. There are very few humans that think this is okay. When I am on holiday I see kids asleep in buggies everywhere with their parents. I dunno how you all holiday though.

Following the news last night, thought it would be good to have a thread about this so we can discuss as things develop.

It seems the German authorities believe this guy is guilty of the poor little girl’s murder. According to news articles I’ve read, he’s already in prison for raping a woman in Praia de Luz and has "numerous" previous convictions for "sexual abuse of children" and the DM says he has spoke about Madeleine on online chat forums.

I must say, I didn’t think 2020 could get more bizarre but here we are! I really hope the family gets justice after all these years.
I found it very interesting that they are investigating it as a murder charge rather than a missing person.

Also interesting timing for this to be released. Distraction media???

I also really hope this leads to something. I’ve had my suspicions about K & G but I do hope that justice is achieve for Maddie.

I fucking hate the McCanns. They were negligent shitty parents, and if they’d been working class the press would have crucified them for it.

Gerry is cold as ice. Kate was walking around with her simpering face carrying that bloody cuddle cat for weeks afterwards.

It was their fault. If you don’t protect and care for your kids, something awful happening to them is your fault. I wouldn’t dream of fucking off to eat tapas while my kids were alone. What if one of them woke up scared and needed me? You just don’t leave them. They fucked off to have a good time with their friends and then presented themselves as these poor wounded parents whose child had been taken. It was their fucking fault. It’s like leaving your kid in a park on their own while you fuck off to a coffee shop and then crying in the press and going to the Pope (?!) about their terrible abduction.

nothing would have happened had they cared for her.

I wonder, as the twins have grown, what they make of their parents leaving them in an apartment alone.

I was watching good morning britain the other day when the search was announced and bloody ed and Susanna were talking about the "trend to leave your children alone". It was not a fucking trend!!! I can't stand how the media tries to gaslight us with this. Normal, working class people were not leaving their children in hotels whilst eating tapas. Unless it was a middle / upper class thing - which I'm certain it was not - no one was doing this.
Honestly this narrative has pissed me off for years.

The McCanns seemed to lack a lot of the normal parental instincts. Leaving babies and a very young child, alone for stretches of time, in an unlocked hotel room, so they could party 100 yards away? That's not normal, loving, parental behaviour. Gerry playing tennis the morning AFTER his daughter had gone missing? This is not normal, loving, parental behaviour. I know if our daughter had gone missing my DH would have searched the streets until his feet bled.

People often make the mistake of assuming that every parent has a deep, loving bond with their children and would instinctively put their needs before their own. But that's far from the case and that's why child neglect and abuse happens. Some parents, very sadly, see their children as a hindrance to the life they want to lead. Many parents selfishly usually put their own needs and desires first. I believe the McCann's fall into that category, though I suspect it was more Gerry insisting they holidayed like they barely had their children with them, rather than Kate.

I found a lost child the other day in a theme park, she was hysterical, only about 5 years old, the staff were with me as I tried to console her and within maybe 10 mins she was reunited with her Granny, the staff took her from me and brought her to where ever she was. Later in the day I got chatting to a mammy in a queue who had been beside the Granny when she realised she was missing, the woman was hysterical and when she was told the child had been found she needed treatment from the medics. Then you've these fucking weirdos who went to bed that night while Madeline was missing and took tennis lessons in the coming days.

At the end of the day, whichever way this goes, it's Kate and Gerry's fault Madeleine is (more likely than not) dead. If she was kidnapped then that wouldn't have happened if they hadn't abandoned her and the twins in the room. If she died from an accidental overdose/choking on her vomit/a fall then that likely wouldn't have happened if she'd been left alone.
