Can’t remember who said it but totally agree with the comments about Lewis being a child who also needs compassion, “my child wouldn’t even know about this stuff!” “My child swears with his friends but never in front of adults” “my child would never xyz”
Your child would never because your child has more than likely had a stable, normal upbringing. Lewis didn’t just wake up like this yesterday, he has had an awful start to life and what’s sadder is that getting back to his mum is the best option in his eyes, when she laughs at his jokes (even when they’re totally inappropriate) that to him is love and acceptance. He tries to connect with Laura on a “mature” level not like “annoying baby Alfie”. He sees Laura struggle with Alfie and the cold shoulder she gives him and he tries to be on the same level as Laura, which he is because she is totally incapable of being his parent, she treats him like a friend because she doesn’t want him leaving her.
Lewis has abandonment issues as she admitted, there are so many ways she could try and support him and Alfie transitioning to a household together but she just doesn’t care. The boys are fighting each-other for love and affection from her which there isn’t very much of. I hope and pray Alfie has got proper medical attention today and steps have been taken to help both boys as if they’re left in her care indefinitely things are not going to be ok for them.
Both boys need therapy, for past and current traumas and Laura needs to sort herself out in every single way.
