A couple of years ago I was visiting my daughter who lives in New York. We were out shopping and it was pouring with rain so we decided to go to a nearby hotel restaurant for an early lunch.
As we approached the hotel a large man was hurrying out with his head down talking on his phone. He banged into my daughter and knocked her backwards onto a small potted bush that was by the entrance.

He immediately stuck his phone into his coat pocket and grabbed my daughter by the elbows and yanked her back to her feet. By this time I had already admonished him with “Christ, watch where you’re going” when I looked up into the face of Mr Hugh Jackman.
He was so apologetic and insisted on escorting us into the hotel lobby where he sat my daughter down on a chair.
He then asked if he could get his driver to drop us somewhere and we explained that we were actually just coming to this hotel for lunch.

After hearing this he walked away and spoke to the concierge, who had been hovering close by since we came in.
He then came back over to us apologised again and said “Have a nice lunch ladies” and strode out of the door.
He is even more gorgeous in real life and very tall and broad with a definite twinkle in the eye.
The concierge came to escort us to the dining room and explained that the bill for our lunch had already been settled by Mr Jackman.

What a legend and a true old school gentleman.

Liam Gallagher - down to earth and friendly, nothing like his public persona

Noel Gallagher - full of himself, came across quite cocky and arrogant and thinks he's funnier than he is

Gemma Collins in a shop in Romford. She let my pregnant friend go before her in the queue

Chris Evans - the ginger one. Really friendly. Saw my nephew eyeing up his fancy car and let him sit in it and have his photo taken

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan at Euston station - just so smug looking. An air of self importance and eyeing everyone who passed them to see if they were getting noticed

A friend of mine has a cousin who works as a concierge at a London hotel. When Kim k visited a few years back she tipped him big time for all his help. He said he would put the tip towards his donations for an up and coming charity run he was doing. Kim asked what it was for so he said a children's hospice and mentioned the name. Three days later 20 iPads were donated to the hospice 'with love from Kim and family' 😥

Have a few celeb stories but this one is my absolute favourite.

(About) 15 years ago when The Spice Girls were HUGE Emma Bunton came into my local park. I actually have no idea why she did it, but I know that her mother lives around the corner from my mother.
Honestly it was crazy, there was a stampede of little kids running up to her and getting autographs. I honestly think she just came to meet the kids, it was lovely! Anyway, I was quite young then and I was her biggest fan but I was so scared to go over to her and I burst into tears. Once she had given hugs and autographs to everyone she came over to me and picked me up and gave me a huge hug. She asked my why I was so upset and I said I had no pen or paper to get her autograph, so she took me (and my mum) over to her mums Mercedes, sat me in the passenger seat and went through the glove box to dig out a peice of paper and pen and signed it for me, she gave me another hug and they left the park.

I will never forget that, I have always loved her since that day. I still have the autograph stashed away. Haha!

I’ve met many celebs most of them are lovely some aren’t.
Demi Lovato. Met her when I was 13 and she was horrible piece of work she didn’t even look me in the eye or let me speak keep in mind I hadn’t just stopped her in the street this was at a meet and greet that cost around £500
Chris Hemsworth. He was so sweet I was 12 at the time and it was at a premiere for one of his movies I was getting crushed by those autograph hunters and he made sure I was okay and made them all move back he signed a massive board and told the people running it to let me keep it and took a picture with me I still have it!
Lady Gaga. Waited outside her hotel for her and it was freezing! She sent pizza and cookies down for everyone and came down after to take pictures with us all

when my mum met Princess Diana she had a handbag (the princess) that she handed to the nearest person in her entourage which was a big burly security guard and she said to him "ooh very fetching and do you have shoes to match " well my mum fell about laughing and the Princess said to the group my mum was in that she was honoured to come and officially open the hospital and she always gets overwhelmed by the amount of people who turn up , she was also told that she could only have so much time with each patient well she overran by about an hour and a half. Mum said she was so so lovely and in her element as it was a maternity hospital so she was cuddling all the babies there

I met a famous guy who's now married but at the time I quickly found out he had a very colourful history with women. He tried it on with me and a member of his staff told me he had "one of his gf's with him backstage" so I gave a wide berth. Tbh he scared me so. He was weird and staring. I don't want to name names but seriously he was a right womaniser. I had a little dig about on my return home and wow.

Right now he's playing the doting father and husband. I find it amusing, after he spent a decade telling his young non-famous girls he was not the marrying sort and would never have a child, he met a woman and married her right away. The woman he's with is famous in her own right and he can't believe his luck he pulled her. She has no clue of his past history, included using prostitutes abroad in very dodgy areas indeed. He kept his womanizing away from the press, and has a squeaky clean image. I tested him once on his socials using a fake social account and he sent me a pic of himself in the shower, with his head cut off. He was easy. I blocked him lol. I wondered if he had actually fancied me at his book signing event, or if he was just easy. At one point he was dating a really nice girl, stunning looking, unknown. he didn't treat her nicely and cheated on her with someone else on tv, who incidentally she was married!

He was never one for premiere's and things but she is so every time I see them in the dm at events etc I laugh as his smile looks so forced and grim! His wife now posts endless pics of the kid and he always looks like he hates his life and holds the baby like it's a turd. She can't see it. I think they'll stay together because he seems genuinely shocked to be with her, but she has no idea that this family life was never something he desired. In fact the moment the baby was born he left her for work for a considerable amount of time. She should get used to that.

Anyone else disappointed as to who the celeb turned out to be?! Wouldn’t even call him a celeb. Do remember being shocked though when he got married as always assumed he preferred men 🤣

Roxanne Pallet! I was at a Jason Manford stand up gig at MEN arena in Manchester around 2010 and were were in the foyer before being allowed to go into the actual arena. I was waiting for my boyfriend and I was quite dressed up. She was near me and I recognised her from her emmerdale days. I looked at her and smiled and I swear she gave me the dirtiest look up and down ever and wouldn’t stop staring at me. I could feel her staring at the corner of my eye and I looked again and she was still staring in a really bitchy way so I asked her what her problem was. She said something along the lines of “I’ve not got a problem, don’t speak to me”. My boyfriend came over and I quickly told him what had happened and he said if you’ve got an issue, please speak up and called her a silly bitch 😭 She then moved away.
I don’t think she was as well known back then, I only knew her through emmerdale. She had an AWFUL vibe about her and I just felt the nastiness oozing out of her. I believe every single story from ex cast mates and celebs of bad encounters they’ve had with her. She made me feel so self conscious and like dirt and we hardly even spoke.
She was very small and petite, pretty but overpowered by bad vibes if that makes sense!

I met Katie Price and Peter Andre once, at the time they were together. He was doing an autograph signing, and me being a young fool went a long with a picture and CD I had of his for him to sign. I was stood in the queue for hours, and then KP decided that she had enough of not being the centre of attention and the signing was over. I was literally the next person in line to see him, and I told the security guard that I had travelled from Southampton to Leicester to meet him (sad but true), and could he just sign my picture. He went over to Pete, Pete stood up to come over to me - until KP pulled him back and shouted at me “no more autographs”. They stood up and walked past me, then in my rage I screamed at her “at least my huge tits are real you effing slag!”.

Total low blow but my god did it make me feel good.

Safe to say, 15 years (ish) later, she is still the devil IMO.

Roger Daltrey of The Who- such a down to earth man.

Me and my family were on holiday in Majorca about 10 years ago, and we were all sitting outside a restaurant when my stepdad went off for a walk to have a cigarette. He came back, we were all chatting away having a nice time when suddenly Roger Daltrey walks past and goes "alright Steve! How's it going??!" and we were all gobsmacked that apparently, my stepdad knew Roger Daltrey (and that we actually saw him too). What actually happened was my stepdad saw him when he went for a cigarette and asked him if he'd do him a favour, to act like he knew him, which Roger happily agreed to. To this day I think he is such a legend for going along with it. He could've just been like "Nah sorry" but he actually did it.

Yeah I've heard most of the royals aren't so bothered about protocol.
Husband served with Prince Harry, when prince h was doing his training he was obviously a higher rank than my husband.
So my husband was on guard, H came through the gates, husband stood to attention and did the "sir" thing. He said Harry said "alright mate?" ?

Husband doesn't really care for the royals but says Harry is a good bloke, and was really down to earth.

Frank Bruno - lovely guy who took time to have photos and a little chat.
An aside : My brother met him on their sun holiday years ago. He was very kind to my nephew, and posed for photos. My brother said he was a gentleman. When they got home, they got a beautiful photo enlarged and professionally-framed, of Frank and my nephew standing at the waters edge together. Its such a happy image, and how I like to remember my smiling beautiful nephew - he died in his sleep a two years ago. 💔

George Michael - I was working for a friend of his who is a very, very minor celeb-adjacent person (and a not a nice person :D) and he was in the foyer of the house, as I was heading out on my lunch to buy cigarettes. He heard me say that to another person in the house, looked at me, asked me what cigarettes I smoked. When I said Marlboro Lights he gave me his pack, said he needed to quit anyway (I have since quit too). I'll always remember that, it was entirely surreal to walk out of my "office" and see one of the biggest stars in the world just standing around.

I worked in airport security, sometimes in the VIP areas.
Here’s a few that I remember…
Penelope Cruz - lovely, friendly and sat on the floor , playing with her little boy.
Andi Peters - friendly and funny ( he used to fly in the UK a lot and knew many of us by name)
Rihanna - rude, off hand, had many minions to carry her handbag, hat and make sure that no-one spoke to her.
Amanda Seyfried - so pretty and really smiley and nice.
Status Quo - jokey and friendly
Madonna - quiet but friendly and said thanks to us. I was surprised at how small she is.
Edward and Sophie - friendly and carried their own suit covers and a hat box.
Daniel Craig - tired and scruffy but still very handsome and very polite.
Paul McCartney and wife - low key, stood on the platform waiting for train to other terminal with everyone else, said hello and smiled.
Venus Williams - rude
Usain Bolt - huge! Friendly and polite.
Rudest were business people and Middle Eastern royalty - they also had obnoxious, badly behaved children!

I use to work/intern for a record label so I met a lot of celebrities. The nicest ones were Jack and Meg White of the White Stripes; I interviewed them and they bought me and the other interviewers Starbucks. They were so polite and even played a few songs afterwards. It’s one of my happiest memories.

Fallout boy were nice too and Pete Wentz made sure he pronounced my name correctly too.
