I don't think it's unreasonable for Tattlers to continue to keep an open mind and not believe any "announcement" at face value:
1. A sharp observer noticed he had been perusing a Brazilian property in one of his last online events.
2. The residential property he resided in was listed for sale at a time that raises suspicions for a man on his last legs and needing a peaceful environment for him and his wife.
3. The car was apparently returned to the car dealer (I note his vanity plate is still actively registered to the vehicle, though).
4. We only recently learned that his weight loss which he attributed to his cancer was actually due to WLS that he had never disclosed.
5. Lisa began a bike ride fundraiser "in memory of" him whilst he was still alive but apparently she was sitting vigil with him. Seems a strange time and having family participating in the event whilst he was in his expected final hours/days.
Also, again, not asking for direct donations to Cynthia Spencer, but instead, having people pay the extra platform costs of a crowdfunding site. The last rubber cheque and newspaper article about a charitable donation for Cynthia Spencer was written out from "Richard Davies aka Bowelbro" last time when in fact most of the funds were actually donated by his followers, not from himself. This was following a similar indirect donation pathway through him.
When did she have time or the mindset to be ordering a lifesize cutout of him to be displayed at the bike ride? Perhaps the same time she was ordering a new vanity cheque to be used for the donation... will it have been from "him" again even though the donations were actually made by others and were not from him??
6. Lisa claimed he was resting and/or reading Malcolm X whilst in hospice, decidedly odd and rather heavy reading material in one's final days as a bowel obstruction was ending his life and causing extreme discomfort or requiring major pharmaceutical support.
7. No evidence was ever shown of an NG tube which he posted was being provided and would have alleviated the building gastric pressures and increasing discomfort caused by an obstruction.
8. Claimed to be in hospice, even being outside in the woods, for a significant period of time that defies the description given of the severity of the obstruction and growing mass that even blocked his stoma.
9. His friend's initial post that intimated he might have passed was not explicit. The photo showed Rich with his fly unzipped, for heaven's sake, hardly a fitting tribute image to be posting.
10. Lisa was reaching out to a disgruntled book buyer only hours after he apparently had died. Why was she even scrolling his friend's social media at that time??
11. The friends' comments regurgitated his same list of materialistic "accomplishments" which seems so out of sync with how one would describe a man of substance and close friend that had just died.
12. It seems strange that Lisa's announcement was finally on FB, not on his bowelbro IG account where he had shared his journey with his followers.
13. She got the date and/or day of the week wrong in her announcement.
14. We've heard nothing from his family publically acknowledging his death.
So, yes. I do understand why people might need some extra objective evidence from an official source before believing this was his end. I don't think it completely off base, given his history and how strangely even the events of the last few weeks have unfolded.
It might all be perfectly sound. But waiting for verifiable proof also seems prudent. I don't see why we should suddenly abandon our critical thinking skills at this juncture.
I am comfortable in my skepticism until I see objective and irrefutable evidence.
