Do you guys know limisa on tikok ? the girl that always posts in cute abayas and potrays the khaleeji lifestyle in london ? I used to think she was arab because I was certain she mentioned she is yemeni but she is half white and her dad is half kenyan/indian. her cousin said on tiktok live idk what limisa is telling you guys but she is not arab lol. why does everyone suddenly want to be arab its so weird.

“Rich khaleeji” has become a lifestyle aesthetic that some women aspire to and I find that ultra cringe. It’s one thing to like something but it’s giving identity crisis when you try to cosplay as being part of a culture you don’t belong to by posting videos using the songs, copying the style, traditions and whatever else they find online. I have to disagree, Zoya has made a space for herself on tik tok because when she first came on her style was considered unique since it was stylish yet modest and a lot of people loved it including arab girls from the gulf. She's made modest wear pretty popular on tik tok. She's been posted so many times on the Khaleeji fashion insta and even had an article written about her by Harper's Bazaar Arabia talking about how you can dress like her. Then she went on to make a get ready with me video with them. I believe she has actually mentioned before that she's been inspired by the girls in Dubai for being fashionable and modest. So personally, i feel that she's in her own lane and doesn't really need to do any ass licking since a lot of people admire her anyway. As an Arab girlie, i love her

Shes pretty good style but wallah in london she was embarrassed of saying she was Pakistani Eventhough there are so many Pakistanis in london. The thing is she went to a private school in south west London with eleni and most kids there were white and a few Arabs. She felt embarrassed of being Pakistani and would claim arab loool. I don’t think people realise how deeply insecure you have to be to lie about your ethnicity at any age, it must have some sort of irreversible impact on these people and even when they come clean it’s like an internal struggle to accept it let alone be proud of where you’re from. Doesn’t that go against everything you’ve been taught and your mothers been taught so on. Do you not think it will be weird decades from now when you have children and your daughter asks you why you didn’t embrace /showcase your culture more like how sad is that experience going to be lol.

There are so many girls who are genuinely proud of their heritage and this doesn’t apply to them, it applies to those who know exactly who they are. Live in your truth being a grown woman with a developed frontal lobe and still behaving like a highschool girl who tells ppl she’s half arab just so she seems exotic is not the vibe and never will be the vibe.
