Tired of this crap

It’s funny, the Harry Potter actors who were so loud at disagreeing with JK Rowling after she published that (actually quite tame) essay in 2020 were the ones who tuned me into all this. I was like - hang on, you’re all being a bit dickish to this woman who gave you your careers, is this really necessary? Then I read her essay and agreed with it all. And then I was like- hmmm

This is the kind of shit young people today are up against. My son sent me this which his lesbian (proper same sex attracted lesbian) housemate pinned on her Instagram yesterday. He is surrounded by people parroting stuff without analysing the evidence.

I often chat to my kids about real world issues, I like to hear their take and it’s a change from gaming or football talk. Was talking with my 12 year old and he said along the lines of he would be a case in point. He admitted that when he was little (he’s still little to me) he wanted to be a girl. I already knew this although he’s never actually said it before. I asked him why and he said it was because he liked girls toys and nail polish, and didn’t like to play FIFA with his brothers. Seemingly superficial things that became greatly magnified in his little brain. I said you still are the same and he said I know that but it doesn’t make me a girl. He said he was glad we never talked about it at the time and just let him be, I was glad also as I was very much TWAW at the time and who knows where that might have led. I’ve mentioned before part of their PHSE is to learn about trans and I’ve seen (sought out) the video. It features a young man who says he always felt he was trans but as he got older and found friends who were accepting of him, he came to realise that he is just a different type of man from the stereotypical one most boys aspire to be, and although he still sometimes has dysphoria he can live with that with the support of friends and family. I wish all schools used this type of material. Sorry for the long rambling it’s just been on my mind since the conversation with my son and I’m so glad we did not become a (missing) statistic of the Cass review.

I never understand Trans people who keep major elements of their “previous” gender - like why is this person in a dress sporting a hugely masculine hairy chest? Surely that should be triggering to them, if they are absolutely not a man?

Same when transmen then go on to have babies and get pregnant. I thought you hated and abhorred everything about your birth gender? To the extent that to even mention your birth name will lead you to suicide. And yet you’re still able to have major elements of that original gender exercised or on display?

I will never understand the constant changing goal posts of the Trans community. It’s impossible to keep up. And we have to change everything to fit in with whatever this week’s whims are.

Another transgender in the dull women’s club. Isn’t it a shame that real women don’t receive that many likes or comments telling them how amazing and beautiful they are on that page
"I'm also transgender"...No, really?? We would never have known if you hadn't told us! 🙄
(And what's with the coy little message "Please don't hate me" ?🙄🙄. It's alright mate, we're not the ones wearing hateful t-shirts with instructions to "Kill all Terfs", are we?)

The Doctor Who shop in London issued this grovelling apology, which has of course been treated as not nearly good enough, after someone overheard two members of staff talking about trans people and declared the place unsafe. Lots of calls for the staff to be fired over saying stuff that in all fairness is not only correct but quite funny too.

Jesus Fucking Christ. What special little safe safe bubble world they get to live in.

My colleague and I were talking about all of this Trans stuff in the office this week (our workplace has now made all the toilets gender neutral and as such I won't be going in anymore as I don't want to share a loo with a man ffs) and we were whispering like two fugitives in the corner terrified of anyone over hearing us.

It's become so surveillance state and you're not allowed your own opinions anymore because they're "The WrOnG ones" and "Be Kind".

So sick of these men.

Can we all agree that there is no such thing as a "trans child"? If I'd been eight years old this year, I would probably have been transitioned. (Although I'd like to think my parents had more sense.) I was a real tomboy. Most of my friends were boys, mostly because of the area we lived in, and I thought boys had it better than girls and wanted to be one. I'm sure lots of you had a similar experience and we grew out of it.

It has just been pointed out that Jordan Gray, the "comedian" who called the Cass Report a load of far right hot air, is the person who played the piano with "her" penis back in 2022 and sang about being a better woman than real women because "I'm guaranteed to squirt and do anal by default."

Oh dear.

If your idea of your womanly "quality" is willingness to do anal or squirt, like in godawful pornos, it's a fetish.

When I was about 4 I really wanted to be a horse. I was obsessed, I knew what colour I wanted to be (dappled bay) and what markings I'd have (a star and two white socks). Luckily for me my parents didn't affirm me by entering me in the Grand National and instead waited patiently for me to outgrow it.

This is what happened when a rape survivor wrote to her local hospital (Royal Sussex) requesting a natal female perform her mammogram. Her letter was used in the Trust’s trans policy as an example of ‘transphobia’. The hospital apologised for using her letter, but not for their attitude:

“However, it is not possible to guarantee to any patient that they will only be treated by a clinician assigned to a specific gender at birth and, as an organisation that prides itself on our commitment to diversity and inclusion, nor would we wish to do so.

“It is also important that patients see the clinician most skilled to deal with their medical concern. We recognise our employees by the gender they identify as on a daily basis as it is essential that we respect the gender identity of all our staff.

---

He’s so spineless when it comes to trans issues (and other issues, come to that), trying to keep both ‘sides’ happy. Just shit or get off the pot.
This is where we are in history.
Presumably that poor woman has felt a lump and gone to her doctor who has referred her for a mammogram (I've been there, it is terrifying even if you get a good outcome)
This woman has made a perfectly reasonable request to be seen by only female staff. Not
only has this request been refused, she's been branded a bigot. She's got 1 of 2 choices. Have the mammogram, which is scary but with the added anxiety of the possibility of a man being there against her wishes. Or she refuses treatment, which could ultimately lead to her death.
This NHS trust are choosing to stand by looking woke and to let women suffer and possibly die.
This is where we are.
I was under the impression that medical staff couldn't pick and choose who they treated? When they take their oath don't they promise to help everyone? NHS staff (especially paramedic and A&E staff) are assaulted and abused often by patients but they still go on to treat those patients. Why should some nurses get spat on and assaulted carry on helping people but others who get offended by hurty words be able to bow out of helping?
Sorry, I know I'm ranting but I've had enough of this shit.
Very grateful for this little corner of the Internet were I am safe and I don't feel like I'm going insane. X

Just seen
Im a lesbian and a retired teacher and haven’t posted in a while so hello Terven!

When I used to teach Year 5 primary one of the things on the curriculum was formal letter writing. I bet this is a case of an activist teacher suggesting the kids write letters to MP/MSPs requesting mixed sex loos. So they’ve been inundated with scores of letters on this subject.
Well it’s made the papers and looks like it’s spectacularly backfired!
We have reached a tipping point where I hear everywhere how sick people are of this indoctrination!
Two women were chatting in the charity shop last week as I browsed, moaning about trans issues and how it’s all ridiculous.
We have to get Stonewall out of every institution as soon as possible.

At this point, you could have 12 transgender kids die as a proven result of puberty blockers and have a transgender woman (a man) go on a mass raping spree after getting unfettered access to women's spaces and Billy Bragg, Boy George, Owen Cunting Jones et al would say that reporting on such stories is genocide and THINK OF THE TRANS FOLX. They don't believe a word of it but hate women (sorry, non men) and will stop at nothing to dehumanise and discredit us. They will get their sweet revenge at some point and it will be delicious.
