I wrote this right at the end of the old thread. Didn’t realise.

“Has anyone tried the dipping powders for nails? The ads on Instagram make them look amazing but are they too good to be true?”

Someone asked about Rosalique in least thread. I have it and it covers red buy I don't think it treats it. It is quite dark so if you are super pale it might look orangey. I do think it can have a khaki type colour if you use it on somewhere not as red. I use a skin tint all over amd then use rosalique over the red parts that are concentrated on the centre of my face

Been looking for this thread for a few days glad to find you all again 😄

I did one of those foot peel masks (the £1 ones you get from B&M) a couple of weeks ago and it’s been ok but I still have a bit of rough skin and callouses. Can anyone recommend a really good one to use?

I’ve just ordered a dermaflage kit from Amazon. It’s to cover scars as I have an indented scar on my face which I’m a bit self conscious about. Will report back on whether it works or not x

It’s probably really bad for you but I love my Ped Egg. They’re horribly gross but so satisfying. I hear you can use glycolic acid to help deal with rough skin on feet but I’ve never tried it. Obviously I wouldn’t recommend trying both at the same time!

I have a question for the group… I’ve an 8hr flight coming up, any recommendations for comfy but smart-ish clothes/active wear that won’t make me feel too slobby when I land?

I'm going to France soon and I was just reading about A313. Should I get some? I have post menopausal dehydrated skin.

Mango had some great slouchy trousers and matching tops. Deal for travel, no creasing and soft.

I have a new job and my current work bag is… not really working for me. I appear to be lugging my whole life about with me, and it’s not fitting in my bag. It’s a ‘top of the hierarchy’ job and whilst it’s charity, not corporate, I’d like to look a bit smart and also not be lugging several bags about with me.
I’m commuting on public transport at the moment and I have:
A 1100ml insulated water bottle, with a built in straw because I’m also a klutz and prone to spilling
A small thermos of coffee because I don’t like instant but would rather not spent £3+ a day on coffee from coffee shops
My lunch in a small insulated lunch bag
A B5 notebook, I didn’t even know this was a thing but it’s somewhere between A5 and A4
My wallet
Work and home keys
Work and personal mobile phones
Charging cables and a power pack thingy
Vape and vape juice
Pens in a tiny pencil case
A hairbrush because I tend to look a bit dragged through a hedge
Sunglasses

if like to be able to add an umbrella and my iPad to this enormous list at some point, every now and then. Im at the point where a small suitcase would be more appropriate. I struggle to find things in my bag when everything is in there which is stressful. I do have to walk about in my new job and tend to end up taking most of it with me.

I will sometimes take my work laptop home so I’m going to buy a laptop rucksack which I’ll be able to pack lots of useful things into on days if comes back and forth with me, but on days I’m not taking a laptop about I’m left with just my regular bag. I’ve never been sure about a rucksack as my only bag, it doesn’t feel ‘smart’ enough.

This is moon on a stick stuff, but if anyone can point me in the direction of something? Bonus points if: it comes in a colour other than black and is real leather rather than plastic.

Not leather, but Mia Tui do great bags. They are vegan.
The Mini Jen is quite big and will hold all that. It also has an insulated bottle holder bit, key clip and you get two small pouches, one of which is clear. And it has a small zip pocket on the back ideal for your train ticket.
I love mine!

Despite me moaning about cost etc I've decided I need to start doing things to help me feel better about myself. Ordered myself some uk lash serum (I thought the ordinary one was rubbish - sorry!) And booked in for brow lam, lash lift and biab. Thats £150 gone 🫠

I second the Mia Tui recommendation. The lining is also nice and bright which makes finding things inside so much easier. Brill bags!

Ohhh, that bag is really good! I don’t think my bottle would fit because it is oversized at nearly 1200ml. I’m desperately trying to keep hydrated and I’m a bit funny about unfamiliar tap water (I filter water at home and keep it in a glass bottle in the fridge so that my water bottle gets super cold water into it before I leave!). I have noticed the company I bought my bottle from do even bigger bottles that come with their own carriers, so this could be a solution (the interior bottle holder could easily fit my little thermos) as I’ve been running out of water during the day and we’re not a water fountain kind of workplace! Thanks so much for this!

I’ve noticed when I do my full skincare routine, I break out more or my skin looks worse. But, when I do nothing to my face (not even wash it) and just use sunscreen, my skin looks it’s best
