Gave up my job I was in for 12 years, and went to uni for the first time at age 37. Graduated at 40, during the pandemic, with a first class degree.
I have a blog too (I'm not an influencer, it is a science blog - so nerdy! Haha). And I'm very proud of it too. It really isn't that big, but I do share it on Twitter and my posts get a decent amount of reads. I would like to really work at it this year and make it more successful, maybe this could be a separate thread for any other people to share tips etc..I feel like I should say my PhD, but if I'm being completely honest, the thing I'm proudest of is my music blog. It's not well known and has a pretty small readership but it's one of the few things in my life where I'm 100% following my passion. And it's led to some great opportunities - I got to appear on TV talking about one of my favourite bands, and contribute to a book about another band I love. I've struggled with updating it lately because the lack of live music at the moment makes it hard to write about amazing gigs I've been to in the past, but I know that once I start writing again it will make me feel better. I need to get back into it!
