I have watched the Tanner videos since a long time. And even I have no clue how many channels there are. I think I'm subscribed to two main channels and to the channels of the individual kids (which I always skip).
They live in a mormon bubble which is a truly wierd world for me, but maybe that wierdness has kept me watching all these years. lol
Let's see, there is the mom, Sarah:
Got pregnant at 17 while she eloped with her hubby, got married, popped out 6 kids more after that, so she has 7. - Battles with cancer now and then, which is the only thing that stopped her from making even more babies.
The dad, Johnny:
Helicopter daddy, was very strict for most of the vlogging life, but has loosend up a little since the youtube money has flooded in. Still a strange dude, goes into face-filling-screen preacher mode alot, thinking he is the centre of the universe of knowledge. On the other hand he flew off school and thinks education is unimportant apart from some family values and religion.
The oldest son, Branson:
Did 2 years of mormon mission in Lyon (France), got home, married a young lady and they are trying to make a baby. Or they say they do to get a bit of pressure off from his come-on-we-want-grandkids mom. Never had a day job in his life. I have no clue what these two do all day.
The oldest daughter, Allie:
Classic woman-child, had a very late puberty, churchy-shy. Dreaming of being a disney princess is her main focus in live. Which was fine when she was 12, but by now she is a 20yo grown-up, atleast at the outside - Is under much pressure to find a husband and babymaker soon, as it goes with the mormon religion. Started some education lately, before that she was just some watch-the-kids cinderella for the rest of family.
The second oldest daughter: Daniell
The normal one. Good looking 17yo and just a regular teenager. Had no problems the get herself a boyfriend. Works in a hair salon.
The third-oldest daughter: Savannah
Turning 14yo soon, also quite normal. - Apart from having to overact in her daddys kids channel.
The youngest daughter: Lizzy
12yo, looks much younger, as she is as thin as a stick.
Second-youngest boy: Az
9yo old boy, a bit of a delicate flower, but ok
The youngest son: Canyon
Oh boy. Never diagnosed, but must have some learning diabilities, as he is a 6yo terror-magnet with a feature as a jailbird. Whaking his older brother (and parents) and then standing in a corner was his main hobby until recently. - Mentally he's about 2 years behind, with no professional help in sight.
Overall:
The family has too many pets, and most of the kids are homeschooled (read: slumping it infront a laptop, doing the bare minimum). - When they started youtube the lived in a regular house, but by now they have a large villa (soon with a pool), a second or third house (for filming the kids videos, as investment, or to keep Johnny occopied, I don't know). They also own a large piece of land in the desert which they call the ranch.
As said, I'm not religious, and I'm from Yurop' (Switzerland) so the main attraction to watch the videos is the strangeness of the religious-dominated USA lifestyle of these folks, same reason I watch 8 passengers. lol

Hi, I watch them also, everything you said is on point. The dad is definitely very controlling and I think the kids are frightened of him. I think Branson is very much under his father's thumb.

Btw, not a peep in the last dozen videos about the "education" of Allie. Does she even do anything?

I don't think theyre that bad. At least not as bad as 8Passengers or Davey&April (despise them) or Sam&Nia or TheLeBrantFamily. I don't agree with the dad using his phone while driving though. Where I live that's illegal, especially when driving over 80mph!

I'm not sure who they are but the lady I think is the one who have her the pot to make the sourdough bread a few weeks. I think Allie only works in a shop there but she looked so miserable when the family came to visit.

Yes I think you're right. They seemed to appear from no where? I don't understand why don't build on the ranch.
They bought another property that they are building on - a giant house that sleeps 90 people. I think the ranch might be too remote to build such a thing.

^ Yes, I am surprised that Daniell is the one rushing into marriage. She's only 18. She always made the impression that she would be the rebel and going against the date-at-16-and-marry-at-18 mormom-pressure nonsense. For sure now she's going to have a kid in year. One of many probably. Can't just have one or two with a baby-crazy mom like Sarah around.
No idea how far Allie is in terms of a relationship, only got a glimpse of a potential boyfriend in a video some months ago. No further info.

Having a bun in the oven already could be a reason for the unexplained rush. Apart from just going forward fast with a marriage simply so they can finally do the deed church-legally. LOL.
Yeah, Allie probably has realized finally that her Disney-dream was just that, a dream. Stuck in a low wage sales job and most likely only being able to afford the rent for the house because her parents are paying for it. Although it's not very clear to me if she's happy or sad about the distance between her and the family. At least now they can't use her as a babysitter anymore... that is now Savannahs job.
