Why do folks make up silly threads, is it just to amuse themselves?

On some threads, advice is offered and they take no notice and the thread goes from bad to worse.

I’m thinking the same. It is dead random stuff mostly as well. In past few weeks there has been a husband with a bird but she wanted to carry on living with him, buying a house with a briefcase full of cash, now kids climbing over fences asking to be fed. So random. Always secretly hoping it would turn into a tea no sugar same sex flirting thread though.

Tbh I don’t think the advice thread that are bizarre are MD. she mainly stuck to random off topic threads like ‘what is your screen saver?’ And stuff like that. I do think there are many trolls knocking about on here who are just bored and live in imaginary world. I also think md still knocks about on off topic but tries to keep it low key
