Why a sudden loss of appetite?

I had a KFC on Sunday night that made me feel a bit off but since then, I’ve had virtually no appetite and have rarely finished a meal. I’m someone who usually loves to eat so this is concerning me.

I’ve heard some connecting it to depression - I don’t have that but I have had a nasty OCD flare up over the last 2 weeks, maybe that’s a factor.

Anyone have an idea of why an appetite can be so suddenly lost and what I can do?

I had a chicken doner kebab a few weeks ago and it took me a few days to get my appetite back! I think if somethings overly salty or fatty it can take more time to digest! Are you constipated or anything? Might be worth upping your fibre and water intake to flush things through.
if your OCD flare up is making you anxious that can affect appetite too!

Agree with above - if it’s longer than a week or two I would start to explore other reasons but I’ve also had this where a particularly large meal has taken SO LONG to digest that you just don’t want anything. Keep your fluids up and see how you fair.
Try not to pay any attention to it either - the longer you know you don’t feel hungry, would make me stay not hungry

if it does persist then I would perhaps make a note of what’s going on, then call the GP for a chat. There can be many explanations for loss of appetite, such a thyroid, vitamin deficiencies etc but more often this is over a period of time and not a clear cut one day I was hungry, next thing I wasn’t, if that makes sense?
