Which tradesman do I need?

I had a leak from a pipe inside my wall. The plumber had to saw out a hole in my wall to access it. He said that it's been leaking for a while and a small area of wood inside has rotted and he suggested getting it replaced to stop damp.

Who even does this? I thought carpenter, but it's also a structure issue but they wouldn't deal with that would they?

Yes a general builder though I would’ve thought a plumber could’ve sorted it really

Yes you need a builder. Someone who can rebuild the framework and put new plaster board in.

Any carpenter/joiner would be able to sort this for you
