Which is better the Nintendo Switch Lite or the OLED Model?

Hi! I'm looking into asking for the Nintendo Switch Lite or the OLED Model as a christmas present. However, I'm not sure which is better. I'm leaning towards the lite since I do plan to invest in other gaming stuff in the future.
Thoughts?

If you can afford it, go OLED. You can connect it to the tv and the screen is way better! You can then play with other people where as the lite is only good if you have 0 intention of playing on the telly/bigger screen.

I traded my lite in for oled. While i play handheld mostly still, i like having the option to play on tv, multiplayer or tabletop

We had the old switch and ended up with an Oled - husband said there was a significant improvement. The thing that put us off the Lite was the fact that the joycons are attached to the console so if they break, the console is surely knackered? At least on the normal switches, you can just replace the joycons if they break.

Good insight, I'm looking into the lite as I may get a playstation or xbox in the future to play on a bigger screen

The resolution on the lite is awful. You’d be better off turning your phone into a handheld gaming device and the resale value is terrible too

The OLED/console version is much better in my opinion. It gives you the best of both worlds.
