If you can afford a Shark cordless I'd get one.that’s what I’m worried aboutI don’t want to spend a huge amount on something that will be a ‘spare’ to then find myself using my shark instead!

I had thr shark. The expensive one that all the instagrammer love!! And it’s shit! The filters are forever getting blocked. It started off good and I was impressed but after having it for a few months of daily use o got fed up of washing and cleaning filters and unblocking anything bigger than a speck of dust and also cutting hair off the anti hair wrap rollers (2 living in thr house with long hair) it also has a comb bit by the roller that gets clogged and as I have a dog had to clean that after every use.
Had a reconditioned Bosch Athlet but it’s had a small collection chamber and when I was in a store I saw the Miele. It’s fab Filters don’t get blocked and the parts are so easy to clean.
My friend has the vax blade ?? And loves it. She has two cats and carpet throughout and says that it works well.

I've got the Gtech Hylite, I love it plus if you don't like vacuums on display it comes in two parts and you can store it in a drawer!

Ok, so I've just ordered the shark cordless truepet flexi vacuum 
should have been £380 but I got it on Ebay as a refurb from shark for £180! Will let you know if its any good...

I purchased a Dyson V10 Animal just before lockdown and it's amazing! The amount of dirt that it picks up compared to my old Dyson is unbelievable. My mum also got one and said the same.

On the high power mode you're taking 10 mins but that literally sucks up your carpet so I've not needed it, but 40 mins on normal power which is still stronger than my corded Hetty, I was really shocked too!

Me againOk, so I've just ordered the shark cordless truepet flexi vacuum
so the hoover is "ok", it sucks up really well so thats good! Battery doesn't last long though and the dustbin is tiny! It also is quite heavy lifting it up my narrow loft stairs. Obviously not as heavy as my corded so thats good. I suppose its heavy because its powerful maybe. I do recommend this.. only at £180. Glad I didn't pay £380. Its not worth that.

I could not recommend the Dyson Total Clean enough. We have the V8 but I think there are more recent ones. I can do the whole (admittedly quite small) house on one charge on the lower power mode. Comes with loads of attachments, not too heavy, good suction. Bought it direct from Dyson website when it was on offer and got free next day delivery.

I've just bought the Vax Blade 4. Before that I had a Hetty which I love but was too difficult to lug around after we moved to a bigger house and doing upstairs a nightmare! The Vax Blade 4 is sooo good though, I bought as a second spare to use when I couldn't be bothered with the Hetty but it's all I've used since! Really powerful, extracts sooo much dust from the carpets and lasts around 40 minutes so never runs out before I've done.

Has anyone bought them £49 ones from b&m? Beldray I think? I too have 2 flights of stairs and a pretty decent corded hoover.. looking for a cheap cordless.. watching with interest

I don't rate the Dyson cordless. Not sure which version I have sorry. Especially if you have a shark as they are amazing. It's just not powerfull enough so I end up going over everything with the shark! Might just be me.

I've got the cheapest Dyson cordless which if I remember correctly was around £250. Its fantastic compared to the corded one and the house is so much cleaner. They said to me at the shop, Currys that the Shark ones were better but they were quite a bit more expensive.It has about 20 mins on the battery but its not a problem.X

I live in a town house and I’m too lazy to keep dragging my corded Shark vacuum up 2 sets of stairs....so I’m on the look out for a cordless that I can keep In the airing cupboard.
anyone have any recommendations? It will be a second vacuum so not overly fussed on it being the ‘best’ as such, just want something that works and doesn’t run out within 5 mins! thanks!

I currently have a Dyson V8 Animal that I bought about 3 years ago. At first it was great, it comes with 2 power settings and I used to get about 20 minutes run time on the higher power mode. However, about 6 months ago it started playing up - a fully charged battery now drains in about 2 minutes on the higher power mode, which is useless! I still get about 20 minutes on the lower power setting, but the suction isn't strong enough for my liking. I paid £400 for it and it gets used a couple of times a week so I don't feel it was really worth the money. Does anyone know if the battery can be replaced or, indeed, had a replacement battery?

So dysons seem very popular....there was a barely used V6 for sale on a local facebay page but I’m sure that’s the model with not great reviews. I will look into the models suggested. Thanks.
