I haven't seen a thread so I thought I'd start one.

Wheelchair Rapunzel or Alex Darcy is an American influencer, disabled activist and creator. Alex has spinal muscular atrophy.

She's created a stir over the years with overly sexually provocative posts, befriending a man who was a sexual predator and then defending him, she's recently announced she's pregnant to her boyfriend of less than 6 months, who is very recently sober and also has extensive MH problems. There are concerns about how they will care for a baby as she's had to come off medication which manages her condition, she can now barely do anything for herself and her partner is now her full time caregiver.

I feel like there's so many questions with this one.

What's everyone else think??

Shocking if true that she has not seen a Dr at all yet during her pregnancy?

She pops up on my tik tok every now and then and I find it so so odd that someone with such a severe disability as her hasn’t been to the dr yet even though she’s apparently 11 weeks pregnant

She supported a rapist and lured drunk vulnerable people around said rapist. She cries ableism at everything, she had the audacity to illegally record someone using a ‘disabled’ stall, and questioned if the user had a disability ….isn’t that ableism, hidden disabilities no?

The whole pregnancy saga is ridiculous and absurd. If she is actually pregnant then she’s extremely negligent in her role as a mother already, her dates don’t match and she conveniently has a registry set up, yet still doesn’t have confirmation or the pregnancy other than piss sticks. Let’s not forget she was taking a category X medication, if there is a baby then the risk of it being deformed, non viable, disabled itself is almost a given.

She states she isn’t high risk, then states she needed a suction machine and her lung capacity is reduced, which is it? She’s problematic and I really can’t stand the wench.

So, as a 28 year old woman she is vlaming the doctor for not pushing her to have a smear. What a lot of shite talk, it's her body therefore her responsibility, and she can't say she didn't know of the importance

Don't follow her put I see her posts from time to time. I have cerebral palsy (only affects my legs in my case) and I use a walking frame. Don't see how she'll manage with a newborn. I don't think I'd manage and I'm much more mobile than she is.

Makes me worried she isn't with her partner long. If he has sobriety issues then a new relationship, a baby on the way and being a caregiver for someone with a disability is way too much for anyone to take on in such a short amount of time.

Obviously I want things to go well for her for the baby's sake. However, I think it'll all end in tears. What will she do if she and the bf break up? Who'll step in to help her care for her child?

I don't like her tbh. Takes no responsibility for her own health. Also, having a disability isn't a personality trait but to her it seems that she thinks it is.

Don't know much about the defending an abuser but if she has then she needs to face the consequences of that and cut all contact before her daughter is born. She may be 29 (?) But I don't think she's near enough mature to be a parent at all.
