Hoping to get some ideas on what job I can get with a degree in psych because I want to avoid going back to school if possible...

Where do you live?
What are your interests?
do you want to use your degree in a job?

I live in France, I'm interested in too many things haha: fashion, business, marketing, beauty mostly and hopefully I can use my degree but if not then so be it.

I'm just so lost and have no idea what to do.

Psychology is great for marketing and PR-type jobs. I know a lot of companies do look at psychology (as its such a broad subject) for those type of careers, as it shows you can understand consumers and how they work.

Could you perhaps look for a graduate job in those areas, or an internship that could lead to a full-time position?

Other jobs you could do:
- Support worker (in a school either as behavioural support or learning support, or care home/mental health roles)
- Assistant psychologist or healthcare assistant in a hospital
- Recruitment consultant (most companies will consider people from any degree)
- Counsellor (you wouldn't necessarily need a masters for this - some places will train you)
- Careers advisor (in a school/college)
- Human resources
- Teacher (you could do teachfirst or something along those lines)
- Sales
- Market research

Social worker
Counsellor/therapist
You cant be a sw with a psychology degree. Counselling would require post graduate education if OP recieved 2:1 or above. Maybe occupational therapy, mental health worker or IAPT? Probably all require further study.

all the $ is in media...ad exec...take some marketing classes?
yeah I had a 2 year community college diploma from canada that didn't get validated in france which sucks!

Thank you for all your lovely replies so far this is actually giving me ideas. It's hard to navigate a new country by myself is all so I often get depressed/overwhelmed.

You would need to do another degree to become an Occupational Therapist. Sometimes NHS have recruit to train jobs for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.

Explore the tech industry? You don't even need a degree to get in and it is pretty much a job for life since tech is always expanding.

See I've thought about doing something in marketing but it seems unless you've got a valuable marketing diploma doors are barred here ugh I don't know. I'm hoping not to have to do a masters but if I do i wouldnt know what masters to go towards.. or where to start. It's just a really overwhelming decision

I didn’t do anything with mine really Cos I didn’t want to do further study.

original plan was a counsellor but the rules changed and the psychology degree was no longer that route in anymore.

Business is quite a broad term though. What exactly in business?

To be honest, I would get a job you are 50/50 about enjoying because you'll soon know what you like/don't like.
