What is Your 'Happy Place'?

What is the (generic) place or activity that drains away your stress like no other? Bubble bath, wine and candles? Mosh pit? Favourite pub with your friends? Sitting by the beach? Grandparents house? Old bookstore? CrossFit class? Just curious.

For me it's walking - usually with music in my headphones. It feels like time is standing still and nothing in the world matters anymore.

My bed! I can happily lay in bed reading or watching TV for hours.

Or at my mums

My bed, defo. Just me, the cat, some good TV and snacks, minding my own business. Perfect.

I wish I could still go to my grandparents house 😢 my true happy place

For me any form of exercise is my happy place. Whether it is a walk 🚶🏻‍♀️in nature 🍃 or going to the gym 🏋🏻‍♀️ or practising karate. 🥋 It is the only time my 🧠 will switch off and all the stress, negative emotions 😭 and anxious thoughts dissipate.

The beach, doesn’t matter what season. For me it’s a guaranteed mood lifter.

In the back garden on a warm sunny day with a book, quiet neighbours(!), nice cold drink and the cats laying laying around enjoying the sun 😊
I've realised that's when I can actually zone out for once and relax

Cosy in my bed with films on whilst reading a book or playing a game on my ipad, with the cat and the boyfriend. ❤

Place wise, I would say this little beach bar in Khao Lak, Thailand. The people are happy, the views are stunning and its just pure bliss ❤

Anywhere with the sound of water. By the sea, a waterfall or a stream etc. Or inside whilst it pours with rain outside.

Somewhere with mountains, trees and water...loch, river, sea. No sounds of traffic. Calgary Bay on Mull is one of my top 3 happy places.

Co Kerry in Ireland. My brother and SIL live over there (SIL is from there) and anytime I'm there, I never want to leave. I'd move there in the morning, but my husband will never cut the apron strings and leave bloody MIL.
