The bloody weather.

I desperately need to go and mow my back garden and everyday I think I'll do it bloody buckets down.

I'm exhausted. I go through this cycle every so often, I get bloods done and get told I have low folic acid. Get prescribed it. Yet get told is it a one off thing. I have had two cycles of folic acid for 4 months at a time yet when I speak to them again they refuse it and I cannot get a high enough over the counter without buying fortunes worth.

I am sleeping 8-10 hours a day and feel like I haven't slept for day. I now cannot get a doctors appointment. I am 32 I should not be this tried!

Take OTC folic acid everyday - don’t just take the prescribed stuff and then stop. Also look at your diet - what are you eating?

It make me think back to when all that started with me as a 13 year old and how my own mother made me feel dirty about it and how she screamed at me in the middle of the street as i need more pads and how she used to tell everyone that oooo shes on her period she needs to change her pad 🤔 she stinks i didnt i know i didnt. The other thing was my older sister wasnt treated like this i dont get why i was for i was and still am a very clean person at that time of the month and in general its been 22 years and i still can get my head around the way she treated and behaved towards me

Sorry its more of a offload and not a rant

That’s awful you were made to feel like that for something that is a part of life. It’s natural and young girls need to be guided and nurtured through it. So sorry you went through that.

I have made my 11 year old a small pack for her school bag, and although I’m very much hoping she won’t need it for a while yet I’d rather she had wipes and clean undies with her than panic if something did happen while she’s at school.

That shouldn’t have happened. That is trauma. For what it’s worth there is much evidence that parents who abuse their children often target one child. Only they know the reasons why. If you possibly can read Billy Connellys first autobiography. It’s discussed there. I was targeted by a relative during my childhood. None of my other siblings and cousins were. My heart goes out to you.

A local pub of mine has been running ladies night every Monday for 12 years. Anyone can go but as a woman you get your meal for 50% off.

One man, ONE, has complained so it is now cancelled and that is it. A great community thing which has been so so popular is over because of one pathetic man.

I don’t understand - why was there a discount just for being female? Was there an equivalent night for men?

I think the idea was that it encouraged single/widowed ladies to socialise, it started way before I came to the area but it was really popular and many men still went to the pub on that night but paid normal prices and has no issue. The locals have had no issue but I just hate that we are such a pander to the miniscule minority kind of society. Closing a the QE bridge because of 2 people when it effects 100s of people for days. If people complained over the last 12 years then yes, but ONE man and it is over for everyone who has enjoyed it for years.

My wife and I got married two years ago and we still haven't received our printed wedding album we paid for as part of our photography package, and our photographer has ignored all our attempts to get in touch with him about it. The price difference between the services we received and the ones we paid for is £300 so two years after our wedding we're £300 out of pocket and at a loss as what to do next.

I'm not even annoyed about the money (although with everything going on, it's no small sum), I'm annoyed that it's marring the memories of our day because every time I see not only our wedding photos, but any wedding photos at all, I'm annoyed at what has happened with our photographer. Even if he'd actually been in touch I'd be happier, but he just reads and ignores our messages and emails!

Go public about it - post on his social media pages, post local Facebook groups, post on Twitter etc go to your local papers etc - make noise. Also contact citizens advice regarding reporting to trading standards and if you’ve given him money and he’s not given you the goods agreed then is that theft?

I wonder if the pub has used the complaint as an excuse to cancel the event?

Maybe I'm being cynical, but let's face it, times are tough for businesses with rising costs of the goods they sell and also the energy they need (electricity, heating, etc).

It's possible a lot of those women will still come to the pub and pay full price for their meals, hence the business will likely make more overall.

I find the idea of it rather antiquated if I’m honest. It wound be better just having a night of the week where there was a blanket discount or something in operation.
Agree regarding the closure of the dartford crossing. Utterly ridiculous. But then I’m baffled by the way the police and government are pandering to these idiots as a whole anyway.

I agree. Either do that, or at least threaten it.

Years ago my parents had an issue with their conservatory in the year after it was installed. They contacted the company who fitted it, as it was still in the guarantee period. They ignored several of their emails until my Dad sent another email that said he'd be taking it to trading standards if they continued to ignore him. Funnily enough they replied quite quickly after receiving said email...

They were challenged on this and claim no, they would have just cancelled it. Instead they are worried about a sexual discrimination claim.
