I bought from a brand I will never buy from again, because Christmas 🙄, and I have had at least two e mails a day from them since. I’ve unsubscribed but still they come. It doesn’t make me like you, it makes me want to boycott you for being super pushy and annoying!!
I have now blocked it as I’ve had my delivery so don’t need updates etc, but honestly, some companies need to really tone down their marketing!

I hate this too. Ages ago I sent a friend a potted plant as a get well gift through an an online florist/plant shop once, and since then I haven't been able to remove myself from their mailing list. I constantly get discount vouchers and ads about ideal conditions for whatever whateverus. The plant wasn't even for me, leave me alone 🤬

Last year my dad gave to the Salvation Army for the homeless at Christmas type thing. He has received numerous requests from them throughout the year for more. I asked him if he wanted to do the same this year and he said 'No' because they had now annoyed him.

Do these companies and charities really think spamming people is the way to get our business or donations?

I absolutely 100% refuse to eat at McDonald's for this reason.

The way people park. Because I just love having to walk into the road because you've decided the pavement is a parking space

Being unwell.

I am so fed up of being run down. 3 weeks ago I had D&V, followed by a colonoscopy which included lovely bowel prep and now I’ve been struck down by flu. I am exhausted.

My dog groomer has made my dog into her Christmas card type post on FB. I'm not on FB which she knows but the husband spotted it. She didn't ask me. Not sure why I feel so weird about it but I do!.

I feel you on this. Hope you feel better soon x

I've had a sickness bug now the flu because people can't stay at home when they are unwell. I have things planned in the next few weeks for Christmas so I'm praying I feel better by then.

Going to make myself sound an ultra witch I know
But a very close relative had a health scare earlier in the year which fortunately turned out all ok, but you would have thought it was serious as she’s using it constantly as an excuse for everything. “ the worst year ever” “not been able to do anything all year” (except two abroad holidays)
It’s really wearing thin as there’s no acknowledgement that it all turned out ok and now every little thing is circled back to her health scare. I’ve not said anything and probably won’t because I know I am
Being a witch slagging her

The annoyance is heightened by a friend currently undergoing chemo for breast cancer and she’s in her early 30s, yet she never moans at all

I literally just complained to the CEO of one company in person the other day about how at one stage I was getting at least one a day and several days where I had 2 or 3 or more! They just said sorry that must have been around Black Friday and we have to sell our products. I said well 1 will suffice and went to get myself another drink before i said something I'd regret.

Just come back from the O2 Arena to find that the self service bar has charged me £3.90 for a bottle of water. Madness.

I donated to Crisis a few years ago and was very explicit about no promotions whatsoever being sent to me.

The next year? Oh look who they put on their mailing list.

ARRRRRGH.

I complained and I can't remember what their excuse was but I recall being told it would take a certain number of days before I'd be off the system. It's ludicrous. The way charities behave is the complete opposite of what you'd hope for.

Real illness means not being able to go on any holiday no matter how much you want to. I loathe these drama queens/kings.

Oh God, I'm staying with my cousin and her husband. They gave me their room, and I got period blood on the bed. It's gone through the white sheets to the mattress. I'm devastated. I'm so annoyed at myself.

I don't know how to tell her. I'm trying to get it out, but with it all being white, it's probably not going to come. I feel tit. I don't know how to tell her. I'm down to my last £50 in the world, so I can't offer to replace the mattress.

duck my life.

Oh no, but you didn't do it on purpose. You'll have to get the sheets straight in the wash... and try to clean the mattress with baking soda, it really works. Get it wet in a paste, gently place over the stain and leave for at least half an hour. Then it should scrub out.

Thanks for the advice, I'll do that!

Man flu. My partner has had it for a few days and he's acting like he's on deaths door. Like so overly dramatic! Get a grip, us women just get on with it. Never seen anything so ridiculous in my life

Hydrogen Peroxide does great job on blood stains @InkHeart, google the appropriate mix of water to h2o2 and apply some on the mattress. I've had great results, especially if the stain is fairly new.

Use only on white fabric though, it bleaches the spots.

Don't hot wash it! If you can soak it in cold salt water, (eta or a paste of salt and baking soda) that removes most of it. Check the stain again after it comes out of the wash, it might need treating again but don't tumble dry it until it's gone as heat will set the stain in

I’ve also found baby wipes or micellar water is excellent at cleaning blood spots.
Good luck.
