Hi guys, with the virus I've got a lot of time on my hands and have been getting into habit trackers A LOT and planning little things in life that will help me keep a structured life and help not become depressed.. (it's depressing spending the day studying at home and all my hobbies/classes being gone aswell as a lack of social interaction). If any type A personalities are on here, or simply people who love any form of organization want to share some of the ways they stay hyper organized and keep a steady routine I'd be interested. Anything really, do you read for 30 minutes every morning? do you specifically do your grocery shopping on wednesdays for some reason?

I see the word organize and my eyes light up 😍 I’m a confessed OCD, organized neat Queen! Are you talking about anything in particular you want advice on or just in general? Some general things I like to do to keep myself as organized as I am (because if I’m not I get really overwhelmed and anxious):

1. I pick 1-3 tasks to do each day (the number depends on things like work, appointments ect). Example, on Monday I tend to clean the outside kitchen cabinets, dust then hoover. On Tuesday, washing and mopping. Wednesday, water all my plants, clean inside windows). I find it is more managable than trying to do everything on one day and it stays cleaner and tidier this way
2. I usually do a shop on a Friday, seperating the trolley into fridge, frozen, food cupboard, cleaning products and put them in their owns bags, that way when I get home it’s easier and quicker to put away
3. I’ve organized my wardrobe in colour order (there are charts online) and by item. For example it starts with coats, then jumpers, dresses, long sleeve tops ect) and then organize by colour so that way I know where things are and what I have

It sounds crazy to some but I can’t stand things not having a place and not being organized 😅 Everything from CD’s to books are alphabeticalized and my food cupboards each have their own title so to speak. I’m sad and looove cleaning and organisation 😅

No pandemic I had a routine.

I deep clean every other Saturday, when my husband is off and takes the kids out. I have a routine to this too. Then on the other Saturday I do a lighter clean.

I gym Mondays/Wednesdays and Fridays. Occasionally a Sunday swim.

I generally shop on a Thursday. No idea why.

I take a bath on a Saturday night, facemask, ipl my legs, nails etc.

I love love this! I'm talking about any facet of life(from what day of the month to budget, meal prep/planning, self care etc.) in general, pre-covid I used to schedule out my study time according to my class schedule for the week every sunday, laundry every saturday, wash my hair wednesdays and sundays, put these retinol infused eye masks on wednesday mornings, each shelf in my student fridge has a specific purpose and I promise I'm not crazy 😅 having an organized schedule and life feels nice.

I also used to go to boxing class every thursday.

What's your saturday cleaning routine (yes I'm sad but happy) and is saturday night you're only night of self care?

I make a lot of lists, and take an actual handwritten list around a shop (has to be from a small lined notebook! - God that sounds like a hipster thing to do but I’m way too old!)
I use the alarm app - very handy for reminders of what to do in the morning, plus the calendar one similarly, I use that a lot, plus the memo one for notes, passwords etc - really need to copy that lot somewhere else!
I maybe do some computer work then chores, for 30 minutes or so blocks, but not by clock-watching intensely.

Ha me too! Husband thinks I’m crazy. So
I have a cleaning caddy with all my bits in and I work top to bottom.

I strip the beds and put the first wash on, then I do all the bedrooms and dust, spray and then all windows and mirrors. I then do the bathroom, bleach the bath and toilet, then dust and spray and windows/shower screen and mirror. I then do the floor and leave to dry.

Dust and spray stairs and hallway/porch. Then the same with the lounge. By this point all the bits and bobs end up in the kitchen so the all go back to their homes. Dishwasher on. Probably another wash. Then I do the windows and surfaces. Sweep and mop the floor. Then I go back an Hoover from top to bottom and carpet spray.

Then all bins, and a good cuppa!

Yes to be honest I’m not great at self care, I tend to forgo my bath a lot and my husband says I should go and take some time out. I guess I find self care a bit too indulgent now a days. I have been exercising for the first time in a long time and when I feel better about myself I do self care more. But I see my gym time as self care too as I do love it. Cannot wait to go back!

(Sorry for the essay!)

I do this too, think I’m the only 30 year old with a diary and pen in their bag at all times 🤣 I just can’t list in my phone well.
