I used to brush my teeth about 8 times a day then drink a glass of orange juice straight after, obviously vile but amazing at the time 😂

I'm currently eating tuna mayonnaise on a malted milk biscuit. Make of that what you will 😂

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and can only face eating pot noodles and dry crackers. I'm usually really healthy but I can't face my usual foods. Very odd!

A friend liked eating bubbles. She would run a huge bubble bath to have a feast..

My cousin would eat large quantities of fresh lemons.

I had none, I just got hangry, and would get instant hunger towards the end where it would be dangerous for anyone around if I did not eat immediately!

People always asked, what are you craving.. what I normally eat and lots of it!

2nd pregnancy I had(all day) morning sickness and couldn't stomach anything apart from very burnt toast. Think full turn of the dial on the toaster/setting off the fire alarm every day 😳
3rd pregnancy (this is very outting) I started to really like the smell of Radox bath salts, the blue ones in a box. It progressed from having a bath with them every day, to sniffing the box, then tipping them into my hand and getting a good sniff full before chucking them in the bath. Eventually I ended up pouring out a handful and licking them! I'll never forget my husband's face when he walked in on me with a mouthful of Radox bath salts 🤮

I don’t crave, but I get put off things. In my last 3 pregnancies I haven’t been able to stomach a cup of tea. As soon as the baby is out I’m guzzling it again (The tea and toast 👍🏻👍🏻). My 3rd child I went off rice and can’t stomach it to this day.

Normally i’m a huge coffee drinker, but couldn’t stand even the thought of a hot drink whilst pregnant, let alone coffee! Just seeing somebody with a hot drink used to make me leg it to the nearest toilet 🤢
I used to rarely eat anything sweet. When I was pregnant I couldn’t get enough of ice cream sundaes, chocolate, cake.... anything filled with sugar! I’m not as bad now, but my sweet tooth has stayed since giving birth!

Had exactly the same with tea! And broccoli and now I eat it loads. I went off pasta in my second pregnancy funnily enough and haven’t been able to stomach it since!!

I’ve totally gone off tea and coffee, no weird cravings but I can’t get enough of skittles and jelly babies.

The smell of cleaning products. The stronger the better. You could always find me on the cleaning isles smelling all the products. Used to have some lined at the side of my bed aswell for me to smell in the night. Probably wasn’t most healthiest of cravings.

So strange what your body puts you through, isn't it!? Some of the more obscure cravings (coal, sponges etc.) can be a sign of vitamin deficiencies. I think that's actually the case with ice- craving ice can be a sign of iron deficiency.

Our bodies are strange and wonderful things 😂

My friend used to chew on dish sponges, you know there yellow on bottom and green on top? Insane I could not believe it! She would leg it into the shop and buy an 8 pack and just chew on them!! The pack wouldn't last her an hour!!

I developed an aversion to barbecues and corn on the cob almost as soon as I fell pregnant. When I left hospital after having her all I wanted was KFC with a load of their mini corn cobs.
No weird cravings though - it was just anything pickled/in vinegar for me. Salad soaked in vinegar or pickled cockles were a particular favourite 😍

what were/are your weird and wonderful pregnancy cravings?

My mother loved to rub coal on her teeth.

I loved to chew on brillo pads...

Anyone else have any bizarre yearnings?
