And my conventional fan simply just pushes warm air at me 😅😢
Yeah, they are crap for the most part, but at least they provide enough relief needed. All of our public transport should have built in air-con. I know people will say "oh its only a few days of extreme heat" but in the near future it may not be "just a few days" of heat.

Here in southern Spain the temperature didn't drop below 29 degrees last night but the ceiling fan made it quite bearable. In the summer fans need to be going anti-clockwise to cool but in the winter they need to be going clockwise to push the heat from the fire down.
I don't understand the physics behind it but try reversing your fan 😎

Hottest ever night in France (since records started 70+ years ago)

It's strange the public health warnings they have had in the past about making sure a burger is cooked through, but little about the shock of cold water despite that always killing so many

Southern Europe feels like a terrible place to go for the summer. With all the historical buildings so many places can never have AC.

Most of Italy has been peaking at over 30c for a week now, even Paris has been going above 40c. And that city struggles just as much as London in the heat.

I'd rather go to southern Europe in the autumn for some winter sun and cool nights.
