Hi

Has anyone ever sold on Vinted?

I'm trying to sell bits but after ebay & PayPal fees, I made 15p from something I sold for 99p.

I have been looking at vinted but when I see some people's p&p at 99p it has really confused me.

Do they just take the cut of the p&p out of the product?

As a seller do you pay any fees?

Thank you

I joined the other day. As a buyer you pay a small buyers protection fee (mine was 38p on a £1 item). Postage looks as if it's 99p if you use Hermes parcel shop for large letter, small parcel or medium parcel. I've not sold yet but I think they email you the postage to print off or you can print at a parcel shop.

I'm new to vinted but have sold one thing and brought another. It was surprisingly straight forward! My buyer paid, immediately and I got sent a email with their postage label that they had paid for, I literally had to package it and take it to a drop off point! I brought something today, you select your postage, I opted for a parcel shop delivery for 99p but you can choose royal mail or hermes to your house!

Ive used ebay for years but ended up losing more than I was making after their fees, underestimated postage etc! Saw loads of adverts for Vinted so have put up a few bits but cant find anywhere how long your item stays up for? Does it stay up until it sells? And on trust pilot they have very bad reviews - 1.5 out of 5.. apparently buyers do not have to pay until they have received the product. Anyone know if these things are true?

Hiya

I've been using Vinted for quite a while

Your item stays up until its sold or you take it down yourself. You can also hide your items by going into holiday mode which can be found in the settings.

The buyer pays when they buy an item but the money is held until they confirm they have the product and everything is OK. Vinted also give a date when they will release the money should the buyer not do this.

I've sold quite a bit (and bought a bit too) and I've never had an issue with getting my money after sending an item. Maybe I've been lucky!

Vinted is ok if you have a few bits to sell, couldn’t see it being an income stream!
there are some deluded people on there with crazy prices too.
And the forum is full of moaners and drama queens lol

Oh no what happened?
It’s not Vinteds fault, someone messaged me with a link in a ‘Vinted’ but external website that wanted my card details and my bank account balance!! I’m so mad at myself for even just putting in my card details

but I’ve now genuinely sold my first item on there 🥳

I sent my parcels yesterday but on the app only two conversations out of 4 say ‘parcel sent - track your parcel’? im worried somethings gone wrong and the stuff won’t get there and they’ll think I’m mugging them off 🥺
