I have small teeth. Now for an adult they are small I don't teeth grind them...
it's just natural.
One day at a new dentist he persuaded me to get veneers.all.across the top. The ones on show only...
He said It wouldn't ruin my teeth etc..
I said Ok..
... make them small like mine but natural....off white Like recycled paper colour.. ( yep,I'm specofic)
He made me a set and they were awful
£11K cash upfront ...I looked like a Towie Cast member
I was horrified.
Remove now!
THEN HE TOLD ME ... I've shaved down your teeth...
so I said replace them ASAP.
He removed them.and gave me a temporary set... and sent me on to make.my own set with the dental veneer engineer in the UK.
I picked it out and the sizing, colour with my own eyes and hands feeling it all.
My dentist was soooooo scared.
I got that mirror and told him WTH is this.
This isn't real? These look like day glo dentures

I said get me back MY TEETH from that scan and copy eveeything but a slight better version
I asked them to be so natural
I wanted the tooth markings
and colour like normal teeth.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL. I did go with a top dentist. Make sure they are registered.
My dentist was lovely and desperate to please me. He said he had never met my reaction.
Research. And trust dentists as long as you know you can go legal if you go abroad and it is a hoo ha. Poland apparently Great for teeth... I hears Hungary good BUT legal issues difficult to fight in that industry.
Turkey???? After seeing Pricey and Co... I'd head in any other direction.
They have what looks like dentures.
Fake looking is NOT what you want.
Show pics of what you want and always do email chats as well so there is a paper trail if it goes a bit wrong....

Don't be persuaded by super white.
It can look so silly.
ALSO NO ONE knows my teeth aren't mine.
But it's been 11 years I've never had any pain not even after. I have began now to feel sensitivity..so I need them looking at.
Hiya, i have two veneers at the front due to smashing my teeth as a kid. I've had them replaced twice and i'm 50, last time about 10 years ago.
honestly - like everything else you get what you pay for. And go to a good, reputable dentist. Yes they shave your teeth down, but you will never think about that once they're done. Don't go for a colour too much lighter than your natural colour unless you want to double up with bleaching the rest of them (i did this for my second set). They cost around 700 each. they last at least ten years, my first set lasted over 20 and my current ones are doing great. they should NEVER look fake, some of the zeleb teeth you see these days look far too big for their mouths, you don't want that. you can improve your natural look by tweaking e.g. i have the natural gap in my front teeth made a little less wide with slightly broader veneers than my natural teeth would be, but only tweaking, unless you want the Essex look of blinding white big chunky gnashers.
the dentist is key - if you don't already have one make use of whatever trip advisor there is for dentists, and focus on one who is professional and experienced. good luck!

But there are other things aside veneers.
There are crowns and they look great these days my friend had hers done on the NHS. She worked so few hours and got this for cheap. They look like normal teeth. fantastic
Turkey do crowns too and these look like teeth. The important thing is to keep things LOOKING NATURAL.
Tooth Colour shouldn't be snow white. Unless you want it to look false.
Also you can get snap on veneers in and out.
Also it's important to point out there are a few types of veneers as well.
If anyone choose Turkey check the dentist is on an official register. Recognised qualifications.
Research is EVERYTHING. This is your mouth and a serious infection in there can be the end.
Whenever you do ANY conversation asking such questions like are you an officially training dentist? Am I safe to get this done by you? Have you done veneers/crowns etc? Can I see your actual work (please attach it in the next email)
How many ..... do you do on average?
If you were to do my veneers/crowns what would happen if I didn't like them? Would we discuss them in detail before?
Ask.all questions by email and get responses by email...
Obviously you will want to meet the dentist but PLEASE keep a paper trail in email.
And always try to get 2 people to email too so there's a back up with another staff member..
Just trying to help I have had terrible trouble with medical professional. Some people are just not nice.
Agreed. Bonding and crowns are good options and just make sure you see what they do at your dentist. Touch and feel the teeth...

Dentist should recommend crowns or composite bonding for those who grind teeth!
Veneers are very expensive and more prone to braking!
Composite bonding is about £150/£200 per tooth so a lot cheaper. They look more natural

Bonding is basically what they use for white fillings! I have them on top 6 teeth due to grinding. No pain and they look natural! They can change the shape of the tooth, smooth out etc

Steer well clear of Turkey and going abroad for dentistry. "Turkey teeth" are what Katie price and seemingly half of Towie/love island/influencers have too

Please do not go abroad to places like Turkey. They destroy your natural teeth by shaving them almost down to the nerve and plonk big white thick ceiling tile veneers on top. Can't be cleaned well and can lead to lots of problems in the future.
Veneers when done properly can be brilliant. Very minimal or sometimes close to no tooth (depends on the shape and size of your existing teeth) needs to be shaved off and a good dentist will get very thin veneers made which suit the shape of the rest of your teeth and your face. Veneers cover just the front of your tooth, sort of like a mask.
Crowns cover the entire surface of your tooth i.e. front back and sides. Lots of tooth surface needs to be removed and its not really an option you want to go for unless your teeth are very broken down or you've had root canals that need to be covered.
The other option is composite bonding. This is when white filling material that matches the shade of your teeth is added to your teeth to change the shape and size of them. It can be as subtle or Hollywood as you want. A good dentist will again do lots of analysis of the shape of your face and existing teeth and build up the teeth you want bonded in a bespoke way. A lot of the time no tooth surface needs to be shaved off at all, or if it does its very minimal. So even if the material grinds off eventually your natural teeth will still be intact.
The problem is, if you grind your teeth already, then anything added to your teeth will also grind down very quickly or you'll knock off the veneers. Your grinding habit needs to be addressed first which a decent dentist will do before doing any cosmetic work.

Real teeth all the way. Vaneers just look too false and stand out a mile.

I had veneers done about 20 years ago. I regret it. Mine look pretty natural as they aren’t white and were copied to match my existing teeth. People are surprised when I tell them. The front ones have popped off a few times and needed rebonding. I’ll have to look at replacing them at some point in the near future, which will be pricey. I’m really conscious of my breath as they collect food so you need to be fastidious with cleaning them... Once you have them it’s for life so be very sure!
