Help with varicose veins down below?

I see the nurse on Wednesday, but I’m struggling with the pain. I’m struggling with heavy discharge, thrush and a suspected UTI too as it’s sharp pains when I urinate. I cry when I go to the toilet it’s that bad.

Since having the copper coil fitted I’ve had nothing but trouble. 😞

I would get in touch with my doctor first thing in the morning. If you’re struggling to wee for the pain then surely that’s one to seek urgent medical attention for?

Have you got anything in to take for the UTI?? And for the thrush?

You need to be seeing a doctor ASAP not waiting for a nurse. Are all these coming on at the same time since the coil? I would say these are very extreme symptoms and I think something else is going on.

I’ve taken a tablet for the thrush from boots and applied cream - I’ve had cranberry juice and water today x

Cranberry juice and water don’t actually help to cure UTIs. the UTI is caused by bacteria and it alters the PH of your urine and inside your bladder. You need to get the actual treatment for it from the pharmacy. There’s sachets you get that you mix with water and drink - it’s called Cytopurin and it’s brilliant stuff, go out and pick some up now if you can and you’ll get relief from it within a few hours

Cranberry juice is a complete myth so don’t bother with that. but you do neeed to see a doctor rather than a nurse.

Just to add that cytopurin will help to make your wee sting Less but also won’t get rid of the infection. it’s a little gimmicky and is marketed as a cure but it’s really not. Antibiotics is the answer.

Cytopurin has always completely helped me whenever I’ve had to use it. I’ve never needed antibiotics 🤷🏼‍♀️

That sounds so painful 😢. I would definitely contact a doctor and try to get some antibiotics. Antibiotics are the only thing that clear up a UTI for me, but none of this sounds normal so I’d see a doctor anyway.

Is your coil recent?

Varicose veins in the vulva area tend to become more obvious during pregnancy, then they become less noticeable.

You need to go see a doctor ASAP and failing that go to A & E. If it is a UTI they can become very serious, VERY quickly. Spotting is also concerning. Please go to see a doctor ASAP
