I had a ripper of a sore throat years ago and was told to gargle TCP (diluted of course...a quick search will tell you what dilution to use). It tastes foul but worked a treat. Good luck!

Defo the throat spray, and rest. Take the antibiotics religiously and you'll start to feel better very quickly.

I’ve got some difflam now, never used before and I got a right shock on the first spray🤣! I’ll be in bed all weekend and I’ll update if it all works! thanks all!

Hi!
Graduating in 4 days, it’s not covid (had many tests) and I have antibiotics, but what are your top tips to get the symptoms to go ASAP? worked my arse off for three years so really don’t wanna miss it
Regular paracetamol & ibuprofen and get one of the throat sprays to take the edge of the pain more direct

I also find that sleeping as much as possible really seems to help the antibiotics work their best. Fingers crossed you’ll feel better in time 🤞🏻

definitely the throat spray - difflam? I think. You can get it over the counter in pharmacies. Keep up the ibuprofen/paracetamol, you can take them together if it helps, or stagger them, whatever works for you.

Also it's important to try and keep taking in fluids (hard when your throat is so sore) but in this hot weather you need as much as possible :)

Hope you feel better soon!

I was told to gargle dissolvable aspirin when I had glandular fever (most painful experience of my life and I’ve done child birth twice lol) and take paracetamol & ibuprofen alternating them xx

Oh my brother suffered terribly with tonsillitis and he used to gargle warm water with dispirin and it helped a lot along with taking his antibiotics.

Hope you feel better x

Agree with Lalla on the Difflam throat spray.
my mum swears by gargling salt water- it makes me Gip so much I can’t bear to do it though.
