I think hubby deals with it far less than me too, so it isn't as hard on him. Plus this past month she hasn't wanted him & he just walks away and says "she wants you" rather than tell her that it's time with daddy now, or it's time for mummy to have some rest.

However, now I feel really crap because she's told me she's poorly, and tbh she looks unwell and has been sick so I'm like this morning the whole screaming fit was probably because she didn't feel well.
Don't be hard on yourself, it can be so hard to judge what behaviour is standard toddler behaviour and what is out of character, especially if you're completely exhausted and not getting as much support as you need ❤ I hope your husband can support more soon - baby bandit is in a very clingy "mummy" phase so if my husband is taking over I'll leave the room and if he calls mummy or gets sad my husband will say "mummy's busy, she'll be back soon" and then distract him with a toy. It doesn't always work (e.g. in the night when he's tired and sad and just wants mummy) but during the day he's pretty good at out of sight out of mind 😅 could you maybe physically leave the house sometimes so that your husband has no option but to continue parenting and you get a chance to breathe and not feel on edge? I hope things feel better soon ❤

Totally resonate. Men just don’t get it sometimes do they? I know toddlers whinge and mine is especially doing so as she can’t speak properly yet - I get so triggered by her whinge but my OH just doesn’t understand it 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
Ok I thought I was alone in feeling triggered by the whine!!!! It cuts through me at times

I seriously don’t know why I tell my son’s dad any of my worries or concerns.

Today my lo nursery put photos of his class up and updated us on what they’ve been up to since Xmas, there were no pics of our son he wasn’t even in the background I’m taking 60 photos! I got a bit upset as everytime I go to pick him up he’s on his own and I got upset thinking he hasn’t made any friends and worried he’s on his own all the time - he went through a phase when he started of snatching and throwing things so I worried maybe he’s made a bad impression and none of the other kids want to play with him now he’s 2.3, his dad basically told me to shut up and not say anything or I’ll get myself “thrown out” of the nursery why do I even bother 😢I swear they don’t have the same instinct or worries as us

Tbh I've said today with her being unwell I'm happy for her to be clingy, tomorrow I'm at work so she won't have a choice but to want daddy. But yep, I'm gonna dive in the bath with my ear buds in on Wednesday.
I've started staying out of the way when it's bath time and bedtime a couple of times but she can hear me tidying up or knows I'm in the house and she shouts me and cries and is inconsolable. It's just gut wrenching.

Hey I think we were on the pregnancy threads at the same time! I have had a bit similar with my son - lots of photos of the baby room over a couple of weeks but none of him, or just the back of his head on his own in the corner. I asked about it one day and the staff said sometimes he just nopes out of the activity and goes off to do his own thing. I guess the staff are focused on recording the activity (for learning record reasons or similar?). I think I brought it up by saying something like oh the activity looked fun today, was baby L having his nap when it happened. It feels like a very normal thing to ask how he's getting on with the other kids. Your LO's dad is being a knob.

Has anyone got a balance bike for their 2 year old? I’m still trying to decide what to get baby wotsit for his birthday

My boy got one for his second birthday in November has yet to use it outside but can go on it really well indoors! I’d definitely recommend one

My little one has a balance bike and has had it since about 20months? He's now just turned 2 and enjoys riding it around. For some reason he prefers to be inside on it 😄🤷🏻‍♀️ but has been outside a few times too. It was from Halfords and was about £30 something

My LO is 2 next month and had a balance bike for Xmas, she literally won’t go on it outside but absolutely loves it inside!

Really struggling with TF at the moment. She really doesn’t like me. I gave her a kiss good night tonight and the little sh*t wiped her cheek. 🫠 she’s driving me mad. Her preference is for men - she was crying at the weekend for her dad and I said daddy not here, he’ll be back soon, so then she just asked for her grandad. 🙃 I might buy a stick on beard.

Does anyone know if pull-ups come in a size 4? I've been looking, but all the ones that say age 2-3 then say size 5 or 6 on them. Baby biscuit is on the small side, and is still wearing size 4 nappies.

Am I just looking in the wrong supermarkets? If it's something I have to order online it could be a right ball ache.

Yikes! That would be a dear do.😬
Maybe we'll just pray she picks it up fast so we won't need them at all lol

Modi bodi and bambino mio make washable training pants (a bit like period pants I assume?). Not sure if that’s of any interest but might be worth a look?

Rascal & Friends which are Tesco only do nappy pants in size 4. I really rate their nappies & pull ups, we’ve used them since size 3.

I get nappy pants from Aldi and they are size 4. They come in red packaging.

I hadn't considered reusable, that might be worth looking into.

I've had her in the nappy pants for a while to get her used to the action of pulling them on, rather than wrapping around like a regular nappy. I ideally wanted pull ups because they do still allow them to feel the wetness and be aware that they've "been".

I've been to another supermarket today and had no luck. I've got another big one to try tomorrow. I may have to get some size 5s and see just how big they are. Failing that I'll have to order online.

Fingers crossed she cracks it quickly and I don't need to bother lol

So I finally got littlest natter in at the doctors today. His whole life he’s had poo problems, he’s spent months constipated, to spend months with diarrhoea. So I took him to the drs today, and was grateful to be sent away with some blood tests, but one of them is cystic fibrosis. Whilst I don’t really think that’s what’s wrong with him, seeing it written down in black and white is terrifying 😭
