Paul's finally got a job working within the care services after losing his job and tribunal with ageuk.

The Vegan Queens have been busy but after 2 people made a complaint on Facebook regarding Drag Queen Story time Paul no longer feels safe

Paul had a moment of high blood pressure live on air when Addam 'the nugget' was temporarily blocked from the channel

Harriet the Honda has gone and replaced with Karen the Kia which broke down on the first gig, leaving Gemini pushing it in full drag.

Breaking news hot off the press, this just in. They have cancelled the vegan queens story time bullshit. It’s a friggin tragedy.



Due to the constant controversy surrounding #DragQueenStoryTime #DragQueenStoryHour, the constant protests and anger making families and children feel unsafe and of course the constant press, not to mention the vile accusations and labels that have been thrown at us recently - and with self preservation and personal protection at the fore - we have unfortunately felt it best to cancel our booking at Didsbury Pride and we are taking story time bookings off of our repertoire.

It was never a thing we planned to do regularly, it was just something we were asked to do that went well at Darnhill and we thought we could add it to our body of work.

For the sake of ourselves, and of the children who shouldn't be exposed to that hate filled underbelly of thinly veiled homophobia, we gracefully bow out.

Our online body of work is very much adult and aimed at adults. We're going to keep it that way and leave story time to the queens who specialize in it with dedicated characters.

Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment caused but we have to prioritize our own safety, and that of others.

They were quite revolting to watch on their latest live. The title of our thread is wholly accurate.

Paul seems to have a go at Peter every live over very trivial comments and yet he keeps coming back. I bet he is subtly trying to wind him up.

Paul's singing is getting worse I notice it always gets ignored in the chat. I think Paul keeps bursting into song to keep attention on him with the hope someone will mirror back to him that he does indeed have a beautiful singing voice.

How much wine did Paul get through in an hour! Without doubt another bottle will have been opened after the live whilst they watch TV.

Interesting about Alex. I hope she's finally told him to piss off. He is so condescending towards her.

I was wondering about whether drag queens are appropriate entertainment for kids, even ones who are very tasteful and not crude like Paul. I suppose that there are a few positives and negatives to consider,,,, yes , it teaches kids that there are lots of different types of people in the world and we should be accepting of difference. But there again, wouldn’t it be confusing for a child and should they be learning about that kind of this at such a young age anyway. I really don’t know where I sit on the matter . I don’t have kids myself so I haven’t really had to form an opinion on it. I wondered what other people thought. I know one thing for sure, Paul’s act is definetly too crass and crude to e exposed to children, but everything Paul does is that way...he is just a crude person.

For me personally... it's about the misogyny. They are hyper sexualised, grotesque representation of what a man wishing to perform drag sees in a woman. That's why they often try to look like porn stars. Over the stop extreme stereotypes based on misogyny. Why on earth are TVQs dressed up as cheerleaders? Or in little girls dresses? Why do they do that God awful coy, mouth open, finger on lips, pose to the camera? Yuk

Women and girls come in all shapes and sizes. We shouldn't be teaching children that this is a representation of woman through male eyes. It's time to move on from this guff, and teach them there is more to being female than make-up, dresses and high heels. I also feel the same about pantomime dames. Ok in its day but now time to move on. It's regressive not progressive.

I will say credit where credit is due, Paul did back down which I didn't expect. He also noted that TVQs are adult entertainment and will stick to that. He was reluctant to give up a fight but I think deep down he does have a tiny understanding of why it's inappropriate. He said something along the lines of the children may Google them and see adult content. He was sort of right and kind of got it albeit in an arrogant way.

Just had a nosy on the group, seems like Alex posted a couple of weeks ago she/he/they had a work commitment abroad then was off on a family cruise so that's why there was no sign of her/he/them on the live.

Haha well spotted. It's not vegan either. I don't know anyone who smokes as it's too expensive. Meanwhile he is unable to provide pet insurance or save for a replacement car when he knew the old one was on borrowed time. As for his health he was almost crying not that long ago that cancer runs in his family.

I was just about to write “ he is still fagging it” but then I thought it may sound homophobic, then I thought how about “puffing away” but still , same problem....and then I thought how about “still dragging away” but still the same problem.i finally just had to settle with “still smoking”. It’s amazing how many smoking related words sound homophobic. Haha haha .
