Re Alison - sick of seeing her everywhere. I much preferred her doing the celebrity interviews & just being the entertainment reporter. Very much doubt she'll be going back to that so i guess we're stuck with her

It just sounds so fake and forced
You answered your own question. The reason she is very hard to warm to is that she's been in 'showbiz' her entire adult life and is thus very hard to relate to for the 'average' (I would say superior) viewer.
Interesting that the DM are saying if Cat gets the full time job that Alison might quit or kick up a hell of a stink.
