Completely agree with both of the above. I really admired them in the beginning. Keeping Leo private (Not even sharing his name!) until Darren got a few freebies and became a full time “influencer” so now it’s Ad, Ad, Ad featuring the little boy constantly. They mention wanting to adopt again so it’ll be interesting to see if the social media aspect of their lives impacts on that at all. I can’t imagine it being looked on as a positive by social workers etc.

Yes, you're spot on, they revealed their son's face and a matter of days later an ad appeared featuring the son. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

I only share photos of my daughter on my private social media which contains friends and family. Any public social media, I don't show my daughter, she is my biological daughter, but I'm not comfortable with breaching her privacy and putting her details out there when she's too young to consent.

Who are the Merrimans?!

Two gay dads who have adopted twins. The adoption isn't finalised yet as I think the children only came to live with them at the weekend following a period of transition. So at this stage they aren't sharing their faces, names and as far as I'm aware their ages. So they haven't overshared as such. I'm assuming someone's reported the Merrimans to Social Services going by what the Lincoln-Shaws have said.

I will say though that someone could potentially work out who the children are based on the fact they're girl boy twins, you can work out their approx age by their size/type of car seat etc, they've mentioned one has medical needs, also the Merrimans have a strong regional accent, so you could narrow down roughly where they live, plus you have the parents first and surnames too. Also, the birth parents, not sure how much is shared with them about what stage the adoption process is at, but I think someone could track them down.

I was enjoying watching their adoption process, but I am really wary of people oversharing.

Came looking for this thread because I’m narked.. generally I like Tim and Darren even though they are a bit beggy (but aren’t all instahuns) - clearly begging for a sofa a few weeks ago but usually their ads are well put together and I’d wouldn’t deny anyone making a living but Tim’s latest stories of him and Leo feeding the ducks has peeved me off. Showing a small impressionable boy how to kick animals and telling him if he doesn’t feed them they’ll bite him! Projecting your own fears onto a child. Great parenting.. NOT!!!

I struggled to find this thread, maybe because on Insta they're 'The Lincolnshaws'. Anyway, anyone on here from Wales? Just a bit confused about the Welsh Covid rules.

So Darran has Covid and developed symptoms before Christmas, according to his grid he was on the beach on 21st, so I'm just guessing he had symptoms on say 22nd.
Then on Boxing Day Darran had confirmation of Covid from a positive test.
On 27th they announced Darran has Covid.
Then 29th Tim and Leo were at the beach as Tim had a negative test (I guess they mean Leo too). Darran still has symptoms.
Are they supposed to be out and about?

I do actually like them, but just really curious about the Welsh rules. I did have a quick read online but wasn't 100% sure.

Im in Wales. As far as I’m aware you all isolate. My partner was tested and if he tested positive I would need to stay home until 10 days were up. Also a girl I know, her husband has tested positive and they’re all now in isolation. Regardless of if you’re tested, you could be tested today and negative then have another tomorrow and be positive hence the isolation period. So they are breaking the lockdown rules.

I think putting any kid on your Instagram you have to be super careful, but when it’s one from his background, and with his issues, I think they should have thought it through more, instead of practically selling their son.

They were so anti sharing him in the beginning and not showing his face which I found really refreshing but they sharp changed their tune.

I know 2 couples who have split up and still go on holidays together. Neither has a new partner but they do get on better than when together. I also know couples who are just so horrible on the break up so I think being amicable is what I prefer.

They should rebrand themselves ‘mean girls’ they really are the epitome of bitchiness and nastiness. It really is an ugly trait.
