For me, I've just hated all of the changes imposed on our lives. But on the plus side, I now appreciate everything so much more and will never take freedom for granted again. I also love my family and friends more than ever, and can't wait for everything to return to normal again.

Amen to that.

Partner losing his job weeks before Christmas. That’s been the worst part. So many job losses this year and to come.

How stupid of me not to include this. I hope your partner soon finds new work. What a nightmare!

If I knew how to add it to the list, then I would.

For me it's been the uncertainty of it all. Not knowing what will change next or how it will affect you, not being able to plan ahead and things you were looking forward to or were planning to do being cancelled or postponed with no clarity on if it will ever happen.

Yes I agree that this is a downer for anyone. The unknown, how we'll cope, and what's going to happen next.

The things in the poll annoyed me, but more so was probably all the doom and gloom pessimism online about everything.

Made me realise there are a lot of people who seem to like drama of it all (can only assume they aren’t the ones missing out on much due to covid).

The lack of hope for much of the year for me? Although I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now 🤞

The clap for carers on a Thursday evening, complete with pots, pans and whistles like we’re at a rave or something and being passive aggressively slagged off on social media by Susan across the street for not contributing.

I JUST WANT A PAY RISE, SUSAN!

Seriously though, the media have been the worst for me. The scaremongering and mixed messages warping everyone’s minds. I have to shut off to it now, it’s draining.

As an NHS worker I'll just add that all the hero worshipping for the NHS workers didn't last long because the amount of attitude I now get from patients / relatives about stuff is unbelievable at times. Such a shame how quickly things can change 😕

As a care assistant in a nursing home, I’m inclined to agree. One minute they’re praising you and the next they’re blaming you. You can’t win x

I live abroad and due to travel bans and quarantines I haven’t seen my family since last December. This will be my first Christmas ever that I’ve not spent with my parents/family. It’s been a tough week but I know other people have lost loved ones so I shouldn’t complain.

My nan passing away in a care home in April and not being able to be there with her. A sad end for a wonderful wonderful woman who led a wonderful life.

As a teacher also it’s been awful watching my profession being bashed whilst we’ve been open all the time for key worker children during the pandemic. It was already an under paid and under appreciated profession and the media really did a great job in making us feel absolutely shite.
