duck me , the loudest thunder has just gone off over my head!

Imagine the loudest firework in your ear, not gonna lie; I was a bit scared.

So much lightning for a while there! Like constantly for a good hour! Usually when I go to film lightning I miss it but it lasted for ages - hope no one was struck!

Wish we’d get some of that storm, it’s so hot here - like trying to sleep in a bloody oven!

I’m in the south east and we had ten minutes of rain and a bit of thunder and it’s now hotter and muggier than it was before.

No thunder in London yet. It rained for 5 minutes this morning but that was it.

It's been stupidly hot for around a week now, would rather it be a little cooler.

Thunderstorms have been promised since over a week and we are still waiting.Meanwhile it is hot and sticky and the ground is showing cracks . I am sad to see so many trees suffering as well.

We had the most amazing storm over Edinburgh pretty much all Tuesday night through to Wednesday morning. I’ve never seen so much lightening in my life and I doubt I ever will again.

No thunder or lightening yet where I am (south east). Lots of torrential rain earlier this morning but bright and sunny again now. Left the house to head to the shop but it’s so horribly sticky I turned around in a huff and came home 🤣
