No idea if this is even worthy of a thread of it's own, or even if anyone knows of it, so apologies if it is a bad fit (my first OP on Tattle 😊)

Anyway, I followed the mum around 6 yrs ago when she made excellent hiking vids and some really down to earth stuff. It was refreshing at the time. Everything changed quite suddenly as the videos and insta grew popular, with endless ads, free holidays and cars, after which the content pretty much sped down the toilet. The arrival of the child was obviously a money maker, so the name and focus was altered to highlight 'family'.

Now it's endless family snapshots on top of hills, corporate ad plugs, barely any substance whatsoever; and like it goes with many original bloggers, the child is now the star of the show, photographed into infinity, and it's all about cutesy mum stuff and how terribly privileged they all are!

I find it vaguely irritating, but also sad. I can't imagine the stress of creating an endless treadmill of bland content after once having been so refreshingly unique.

I do love their videos and find a lot of benefit in their outdoors with kids content and advice, and also have the Ramble guide books. They do a lot of cool trips and also the dad has a real-world (rather than internet) job so the family vlogging isn’t the only income stream.
However as the DD1 gets older and is starting nursery I am anxious about how much she’s on the internet and wish they’d hold back how much she’s now in? Maybe I’m just super cautious over putting children’s images on the internet even for something as wholesome and enjoyable as their content
