If you weren't there for a long time, consider not using them - explain to future employers / job-seeking agencies that it didn't work out (you don't need to go into the details if there was no illegal activity involved). Or, if there's someone you could use who used to work there, perhaps consider asking them?I was dismissed from my job last week, I did not leave on good terms with the senior members of staff, those responsible for the hiring and firing. They did say they would give me a reference, but I am concerned about what they will put in it.

I am so bloody thrilled to tell you all that I have a job!!!
It was one of the telcos I applied to a month or so ago, and swiftly received a 'thanks but no thanks' reject letter for. They called me this afternoon and said I was on their 'maybe' list and a few people had dropped out of the February intake, so asked if I would like to join in a temporary capacity. It's temporary because they're obviously not 100% sure of my fit (read: age!), so it's up to me to do my best and make them see that I am a great fit. It's working from home, with a once-every-three-months trip down to Hamilton (about 90 minutes' drive away). The assignment is open-ended which is fine by me!
