There's a nice little restaurant in La Chatre that serves better food for 30! I'd rather go there and experience authentic French cuisine and conviviality than eat at pretentious Lalande.

The thing is, she knows nothing about running a business. She knows nothing, period. And her shitshow certainly isn't a business to her, it's her playground.
And because of our innocent chats here on Tattle, it's becoming a bigger issue for a lot of her 'friends' too, who just don't want to be involved in her miserable games and boring celebrations. They still have Covid as an excuse not to say this out loud to SJ, but this is the general vibe going around for sure: stay away if you can. Add to this she has a boyfriend now, making her even less accessible. I'm sure this is also why MP did not want to give her a date for his return and was deliberately vague about it. The not so elusive N has been missing in action for as long as I can remember.

I found the scene with BJJ bidding on the painting interesting - felt like he kept bidding and looking towards SJ to confirm he was making the right choice (codependent much)? Bidding more and more with a weird smile, almost like an addict taking another sip when they know they shouldn't..

Remember, at the end of the day, BJJ has no apartment, home or chateau of his own, yet continues to buy tat as if he has a real place to furnish!

But since she had another 25km to drive to my place and back again she suggested to have the same meal at her place so the kids could play some more, also she would like to learn to cook this dish- if I don't mind a quick stop at the supermarket because she needed to buy some groceries for it. In the end she presented me the bill for our part of the food which I cooked for 4 more persons at her bad equipped kitchen with groceries I helped her shopping on a Saturday late afternoon after an excursion instead of cooking with my groceries I already had in my great kitchen only for my family.So what lesson did the universe want me to learn I asked myself ?...
