Wow! I feel so honored for naming my first thread. Took me three years (and however long before that, when I wasn't officially a Tattler). I finally joined when Stephanie and crew were flouncing around in Venice on the day Ukraine was invaded. That was the moment I decided to join this group. Took me a long time to muster the courage to even post!

One can only wonder what would have happened had the Strong family remained in the U.K. and far away from Fanny. Here’s wishing both Ollie and Camilla well, and hopefully Fanny keeps her claws away from Ollie.

What I do hope, is that Fanny has not any any way shape or form played a part in this.
My hope is that their relationship just reached an end for whatever reason and it was just between the two of them and no other outside influence.
One thing for sure Ollie needs to stay away from Lalande for a long while. He'll never break ties but at this time needs to get his own health in order.

What strikes me is that Snorts has all the time and money (via Fanny's credit card) in the world to buy more "antiques" (why sugar coat it- "junk") from auctions, and Fanny can spend thousands to travel all over, yet neither can be arsed to take the tiny Galahad to a groomer once a month to get his nails trimmed/dremeled. SMH.
Chris is in the kitchen and area cuisine, and has started putting up the metal bracing for the ceiling and walls. He stated he tried to tap on the blocked poo pipe hoping the vibrations would dislodge the blockage, but to no avail. Whilst Fanny has called in experts to look at the newly discovered beams and spent the day faffing about looking at fabrics, she couldn't be arsed to actually call in a plumber. Her words, "I don't care about the pipe, I'm going to move on about the pipe. Yeah, it's going to be fine."
Priorities are really strange with this lot. The windows are rotten, there is no working heating system, the rendering is crumbling and lets in the damp, the roof needs to be redone, and the new Grrrand Salon, new massive dining room and the kitchen are in shambles... But hey, Snorts bought a janky WOODEN fireplace surround (which Pavlina aptly gave shade to, stating, "No wonder there were so many fires!") for the faux paneling room, and the bust "Paulette" arrived from the restorers (how much dosh did THAT cost?) for the Grrrand Salon, and they are picking out curtains.
Village idiots, indeed!

Camila seems to be a survivor and I hope she makes a new life for herself in Spain.
Baghead will be up tit creek without a paddle if Marie calls time.

Isn't it interesting that Fanny, who receives hundreds of thousands of Euros every year from strangers, will hardly ever spend any of it on employing outside specialists such as professional plumbers? It seems that the only time she is willing to use professionals is when it involves something decorative, such as the chapel, which, after all, is all the chapel means to her. For other, less decorative work, she uses members of the dump crew or h handymen and expects them to sort out what are often major problems. They try their best but lack the skills and knowledge to sort such problems out. Hence, the work is often botched and ends up exacerbating the problem. It seems to be exactly what Derek did when they first moved in. Fanny and her father, between them, have caused most of the serious problems in that place through their sheer neglect and irresponsibility over the years. Fanny would much rather have a designer dress or travel and stay in luxury accommodation, than have efficient and hygienic working drains and toilets in her home.

Their whole Spanish Reno nightmare + Travels with my Friend vlogging debacle were strongly encouraged by Fanny, and sadly it seems both ventures added pressure in their lives which exacerbated Ollie’s health problems and issues in Ollie and Camilla’s marriage. If Ollie was my hubby, I wouldn’t be keen on him travelling and sharing a room with Fanny.

When she mentions the breakdown of trust in her post, I immediately wondered how much involvement Fanny has had in the breakdown of their marriage. (Remember that she waited outside when she dropped Oliver home to pick something up when she stayed with him in the Sitges apartment.) Something tells me that she has been a fly in the ointment in the Strong'smarriage and will continue to be in Baghead's marriage.
