Actually, I’ll respond to this as I suspect many people are curious.
It's none of your business. I travel, I vlog it for you to enjoy, and if you don't enjoy it, you can surely sod off.
My money is for me to spend and for you to give.
I swear if any of you peasants give me any more tit for my business and tax practices...
I don't owe any one of you anything!

Perhaps Amaury’s “accidental fall with a drill” is just a story to cover for a scheduled surgery or whatever for some other injury. Maybe carpal tunnel or just complete bs? Anyway, seems like we have our excuse for the grande salon delay we were all expecting.🤷‍♀️

I made the mistake of watching today's vlog... and the colonizer bleep and her daft mummy strike again!

First she says the tiny rooms must have been so luxurious for students and at least there was always food! As if anyone going to the school lived in hamlets and ate dirt at their home! And then bat tit mama points at Quran inscriptions and jokes that it says "Isabelle's room, don't disturb".... and finally she enlightens us by saying that the students going there came "from a very different environment" and this building must be like being in heaven for them, because it's clean and they are fed!

witch! That's how every house was built back then! Maybe not as intricately decorated and definitely not as large. But you dumb duck.... your hotel is literally an example of where people lived before, and you have an orgasm every time you enter the hotel's courtyard!

I didn't continue watching after that. So whatever happened to Ann Marie I guess I'll go and read your comments.
I hate them, I hate them so much!

Nobody asked, but Amaury had been up since 6, driven for 2 and a half hours, had to wait for surgery until after lunch, had a four hour op and been driven home. Would you not think, that having gone through all that, and finally sitting down to a hot meal, fan would have spared him the pink phone, the loud voice and the demand for chat when the man was clearly absolutely exhausted? Instead, there she was, squealing beside him, when, from her questions and her comments, she already had heard the full story. Awful.

Unfortunately, the team that is pulling the Grand Salon ceiling down and putting the steel beams in is scheduled for November. They need months to get the Grand Salon ready for the B&B season after the ceiling and floor above are removed. Without the floor back in place, the B&B season could be lost. The B&B pays the salaries. They promised Amaury that he wouldn't have anything to do with the beams going in, but Philip and he were going to get the wall down in the Persian room and move some if the floors into Isabelle's room.

Oh my goodness🫤. What a scary thing to have happened. Hopefully the healing and recovery will be easy and speedy. However, it must sometimes feel like the Grand Salon project is doomed

Amaury was to pull down the wall in the Persian room and move the floor from the room, bathroom, and hall into Isabelle's room. Perhaps Chris, Kevin, or someone else can do that project

I just had a preview of the gruesome twosome at Patsy’s house! You would think while looking at all the goodies that they provided the tea the little mini fridge if it was me, I would say what grand idea we should do this. Oh no, they just were gushing over how nice it was that they got free tit

Also. What did Patsy say was in the dinner that Snorts could not eat?? Cured meat?? I call flag on the play......that's a new one. Who has the allergy list???

MarIE is safe at the shithole! Either she didn't go out or the car got her back. Armoire and Nutzi must be in situ too as Mollie is following MarIE around. For all his faults, and there any many, I don't think Armoire would willingly leave Mollie behind. Mollie is not cute though. Mollie is the sweetest.

No sign of the gruesome twosome. They are neither cute or the sweetest.

@Iolair invading Surrey is good enough! And I'm sure Surrey deserved it. It certainly does now!

Decendency-wise I'm a bit fucked up! My mother is half Scottish. Her father being proper Scottish landowning types with a family tartan, homestead and all that tit. My grandmother was born in Wales but would never admit to it, sorry Welsh friends. Her parents were north/north east London. My mother ended up being born within the sound of bow bells. My dad was born in Watford. His dad was a bit posh with Irish decendency. And his mother was proper posh home counties, maybe Oxfordshire. The folks lived on the Isle of Wight when they were first married. 1st child born on IoW making it a corkhead. Subsequent children being born in gentile Guildford. That's how I end up being Surrey. But it turns out I'm a bit of a nomad. Home for me is not a physical, touchy, feely thing. Home is where the people I love, and am closest to, are. A building is just bricks and mortar, comfy and nice, but bricks and mortar all the same.

I thought it was the chicken...he made coq au vin, which has chicken, so he made whatever else it was in the back, some beef dish, along with duck confit in the oven. I had a little trouble hearing Patsy.

@mrsp67 I so agree with you about the way they opened their little gifts in their room. Likewise, I was a bit horrified about how they acted when they showed up, skulking around outside the house, looking in the windows, and inside the house, pointing out all the things that Stuart and Patsy had. It's so guache. Do it in the privacy of your car when you leave and especially don't do it on camera when you show everyone how greedy and simple and ungrateful you are for everything......did I miss it? What did they bring as a housewarming gift for Stuart and Patsy? We saw what Steven made for them.....oh, sorry. I was thinking about people who have actual manners.....they brought themselves, late, of course.

I snort laughed when they drove up and Stephanie was like "All of this is theirs? Think of all the things they can do with it!" JUST LIKE YOU COULD, GRIFTER!

Patsy, you should have just sat the boy in a highchair and served him a bowl of 'ghettio's & canned peas, with applesauce for dessert.

Could we have a best poetry post? Then I'd be mentioned every time! :ROFLMAO:

I've just written this and I think it is most apt, given the title of this thread (what a coincidence! :)) ...

With or without a beard
Fillup looks weird
And then there’s the beanie
That makes him look like a wee-wee

For Fillup there is no hope
Whatever he wears
He looks like a dope

Behind the beard is a little boy lost
Holding on to his mummy at any cost
And when she’s ill in bed eating dross
He just hangs about at a complete loss …

Like a nasty smell that never goes away
Fillup’s always there with something silly to say
I bet he’s into women’s clothing, he seems a little gay
I wish he’d pack his bags and just fackin’ go away!

There’s something deeply wrong that cannot be put right
Whatever it is, I wish he’d just get out of my sight!
Could he not be given a one-way ticket to the moon?
That would be the best way to get rid of the incompetent buffoon! 🤣

"Hello lovely people,

I’m so sorry, but I’m unable to record tonight’s Patreon video. It was going to be a Q&A, but it will go out on Wednesday next week instead. I thought that I’d have a quiet afternoon to film here at the Chateau de Colombe, but - as you’ll see on tomorrow’s Chateau Diaries - we ended up having an unexpected day of antiquing and culture. And we even bought two key pieces for our future grand salon! The photo above is a sneak peek of one of them. She’s an 18th century terracotta bust and we’ve named her Paulette after my maternal grandmother, because we’re sure she’ll enjoy our festivities in the grand salon as much as my grandmother did. What do you think of her?

I’d love to hear from you whether you would like next week’s Patreon video to also go out on the Wednesday (so two videos on the same day) or whether you’d like the video to be posted on Saturday instead.

Also, if you have any more questions for the Q&A, please put them in the comments below.

Again, sorry for the change in schedule, and I’m looking forward to speaking with you on Wednesday!

Lots of love,

Stephanie x"

I reluctantly went back and checked the discussion re Philips trip home. I am sure I heard first time teh word auction, no unplanned trip home to collect furniture and will be away for two days.

Time travel again he was back in one day if the vlogs are in real time. SO a professionally wrapped cabinate from his grandparents stored or part of someone home collected, two urns and a carpet runner he bought for his Aunty.

Could this be the pelulance, where a family member is downsizing, Philip wanted it so sulk city began.

I agree Jeeves no factual link between Gwendolyn helping Dan purchase the Chateau. Billy never met Dan until he bought Alexander to Lalande, only to be booted out weeks later. It was said they had spoken on the phone. The Pethericks certainly wouldn't be allowing Dan to get all the $$$ and sponsership with out credit. Even when Edd and Anna started pateron the first on the list is Pethericks and they are mates, Dan is a nobody to him except a vloger and in love with Chateaus.

Thank you @tuffiti Typical fan. Timey-whimey once again. Not in residence at the shithole. fan and Thrush have left Chateau de la Colombe and are avoiding returning to the shithole and are staying in luxurious accommodation with heating, running hot water and room service.

What I find incroyable is that the gruesome twosome stay in some very nice, luxurious even, accommodation. What I do not and cannot understand is that they buy take away food to eat in the rooms. How totally scummy is that? They have been known to order room service and drink the mini bar dry. They have even been known to eat in the hotel restaurants. With the Patrons money they can afford it. What I really, really don't get is this affectation of getting takeaway food, taking it to superior hotel rooms and consume it. They are lowest of the low scum. Pond life bottom feeders.

I d k but who ‘ imports’ donuts😂. All the other junk he has brought back are full of his allergies.
I have no doubt he was busy eating burgers at Euro Disney too many have sesame seeds on them

He only eats what he knows. I had to laugh out loud when he said although he prefers Dutch mayo he loves French cuisine.
Would he recognise cuisine??

This is hilarious and being filmed by the guys in the car behind her.
She is flummoxed about where to put the fuel, apart from the big boobs I see FRK trying to put fuel in an Electric car too.
Recall how Nickys incabellablog husband had to tell her the car needed oil etc in Haworth when she was driving thousands of miles to arrange some cow parsley.

DUMBASS GREEDY SPENDTHRIFT CLUELESS IGNORANT STEPHANIE! The stupid idiot Stephanfraudie purchases a Terra cotta bust of Stephanie’s alleged idol Madame de Pompadour, mistress of King Louis XIV At Versailles, does not recognize whom the bust portrays, and then claims that she is going to rename the bust of the infamous mistress to honor her deceased florist grandmother Paulette? What a dumbass. She has visited the apartment of this mistress at Versailles several times, purchased thousands of dollars in porcelain related to this reign, etc. and is still so clueless she cannot figure out that the bust portrays Madamr de Pompadour.
1732398588565.jpeg
1732399268347.jpeg

Madame de Pompadour,Images of a Mistress

Madame de Pompadour was one of the most influential women of the XVIII century, right along with Empresses Maria Theresa of Austria and Catherine the Great of Russia. This is illustrated in an anecdote that Emperor Frederick II of Prussia, not known for his love of women, had three of his favorite female dogs named after the three women.Madame de Pompadour was also one of the most painted and portrayed women of her day,her portraits sculptures and objets-d'art grace many museums around the world. She meddled in politics but was more successful when she involved herself in supporting the arts. Her most enduring legacy is the foundation of the Sevres porcelain factory and her support of Francois Boucher, her favorite artist who painted flattering portraits and decorated the walls of her chateaus.Madame de Pompadour was born into a bourgeois Paris family ,her mother was the beautiful Madeleine de La Motte and she was probably fathered by one of her mother's lovers. When she was a little girl a clairvoyant had predicted that she would rise to a great position, almost a Queen. Therefore she was known as Reinette or "Little Queen".She met the King of France at the Yew Tree Ball in 1745 and the King was instantly smitten with the pretty young woman.Soon after she was presented at court, given the Marquisate of Pompadour. The new Marquise moved into a sumptuous apartment at Versailles, which had previously been occupied by Louis XIV's mistress Madame de Montespan, and was right below the King's rooms and connected to them by a secret staircase. She adored the King and longed for children with him but all her pregnancies ended in miscarriages although she had one daughter,Alexandrine, with her husband and the King adored her acted as a stepfather. The little girl had a glittering career in front of her and the greatest nobles in France were vying for her hand.Sadly the little girl died aged only ten and Madame de Pompadour never got over her death although she had to hide her feelings since it was her job to amuse the King and keep him cheerful. She was a frigid woman and never enjoyed the sexual side of the relationship, the King was heard to observe "I have acquired a cold seabird".Therefore the Parc-aux-Cerfs was founded, a place where young nubile women were kept for the pleasure of the King.Their sexual relationship ended completely sometime in the 1751 and it is to her great testament that she remained in her role as a royal mistress until her death fourteen years later without performing that most important duty of the mistress. The Marquise instead became the King's greatest friend and to illustrate her new position she had sculptures made representing her as friendship. She out of all people that surrounded the King was able to tell him the truth and the King greatly valued her opinion, enjoyed her conversation and went to her apartments rigorously every day.She amused him by acting in plays, performing operettas, telling amusing stories and listed carefully to the King's endless retelling of hunting anecdotes. She went out hunting with the King, attended parties and functions, played long card games, received ministers and petitioners and was always kept on her toes by young ladies who wished to replace her.She felt that her life was a perpetual struggle and the life at the vicious court of Versailles took a great toll the Marquise's fragile health. She died a painful death, probably form lung cancer,at age of forty three and the King accorded her the honor allowing her die at the palace of Versailles an honor reserved only for members of the Royal Family.Marie-Antoinette played at the Petit Trianon thanks to the marquise as it was built for her as a present from the King but she died too soon to be able to enjoy it.Today the President of France lives in one of her houses, the beautiful and grand Elysee palace, which the King bought for the Marquise in 1753 as her Paris residence. Her name is synonymous with luxury, beauty and the rococo. The saying "After us the deluge" is ascribed to her but whether she really said it or not it is a good indicator that her age was the height of luxury and excess that couldn't go on much further.
