You said in a previous reply that your big projects this year were the Grand Salon and the garden but what about your heating? The last we saw were water leaks all over the Chateau and you and Amaury working out the sizes of new radiators. You said then that this was the year of the heating.

We’re still collecting heating quotes, so we’re aiming for completion in time for winter 2023/24 But we Lalanders are a hardy bunch - and we have the added joy of knowing that this winter should be our last cold one! Also, as the new rooms are completed (Marquis’s salon and grand salon), the final heating pipes and radiators are being installed.

From this response, you're now changing the time frame to next year; it doesn't seem right to me for us patrons not to be notified. I'm also keen to see the accounts of 2020 and 2021 be published asap from the accountants please. Transparency is important to charity.

and you'll swiftly discover there are plenty of housing developments popping up around Châteauroux and La Chatre area, which tells us there is indeed a workforce in the area with the skills necessary for the renovation of HMN. Stephanie is lying to us on a continuous basis in order to cover up the negligence. I do genuinely think she is attempting to legitimise her Patreon business right now, but she's currently sitting on a cash flow problem because of it until all is remedied.

That Tartlett was me. I know a thing or two about this kind of bullshit. In my former life I dealt with many different types of construction projects and large service contracts. Millions of dollars. I did project management and contract administration. I also did procurement. We had to verify companies were robust enough to execute their contracts. That involves performance, paying subcontractors and suppliers, quality of deliverables. I found myself in many situations having to do forensic accounting to catch people trying to screw the people I represented. It usually starts as unmet obligations, then the lies start piling up, then you check on some things and you find money or cash flow problems, then you try to figure out how to get what was promised or extract a fair recompense.

I smell dirty money tricks all over her. She overspent for sure and is spending now to keep the wolves at bay, hoping she can BS her way through until she gets everything back in hand.

I’m not usually wrong. Also, as with most things in life, if something doesn’t add up, it’s because it doesn’t.

They like to cook, and he is obviously the inspo behind her cooking video.

She has a job and some get-up-and-go. She took him to a French rap concert, which is pretty cool. Whether or not she's willing to put up with a working class partner, we shall see.

Off topic…Today, June 6, is the 78th anniversary of the allied invasion at Normandy. My grandfather (who I was named after) was part of the D-Day invasion, Omaha Beach, 3rd Wave. Of the 12 men in his unit, he was one of only 3 men who survived that day. He received a bronze star for D-Day, and 3 more bronze stars after that. Prior to the invasion, he was stationed in Britain. After D-Day, he marched through France and eventually into Germany.

Before his death, my grandfather didn’t talk about his experience in Europe very much. He did say that the French people were so happy and really appreciated the American soldiers. He said one lady he met was so glad to see them that she butchered her only chicken and insisted on cooking it for him and his buddies to eat. It’s a miracle he survived the war, but it left a terrible impact on him. At the time, there was no name for his condition, but today we call it PTSD. He struggled with it for the rest of his life.

So, that’s why the story of Billy’s military desertion and SJ’s deception, smoke, and mirrors affects me. People like my grandfather…people from many countries…sacrificed so much so that people like Billy and SJ could live in freedom. In their fairytale chateaus.

So many brave men took part that day. Have you visited the DDay beaches. I did back in 2018 and it was such a wonderful place to go. .

Rewatching that video shows that the situation is not normal. imo a woman (Annalise)who knows that another woman is sleeping with her recent live in lover and father of her children does not want to be in the same room as that woman let alone be friendly towards her and equally what woman (Dana) has the brass neck to attend and be overly friendly. Over the years I have known a lot of relationships that have failed but have never known those involved want to be friends even in pretence. It is all too emotional and hurtful.

I don’t understand this comment. At face value it seems unnecessarily critical. Renovations and upgrades in old buildings are complex, expensive and take time. I, and I am sure most others, have no doubt that Stephanie Jarvis manages the patreon monies with integrity and honesty.
