2. COVID Christmas Diaries at the Chateau - it was evident more people were at the Chateau than the 16 for dinner. Discussions focused on who they were as they were seen in background of vlogs and on cleaning/cooking rosters. Concern increased when it was evident length of journey (would require a pit stop with potential risk) and 2 holding senior public roles in Netherlands and Belgium. No persons have been contacted making comments to them, nor their employers. Not sure how this is bullying.
3. Derek Jarvis paintings -- several present sexualised imagery. These are not openly shown but visible. The problem I have with Derek Jarvis' painting is...while I'm most assuredly NOT a prude by any stretch of the imagination...his paintings, to me are what some call "soft porn". Yes, art is in the eye of the beholder but, to me at least, this art should not be displayed where any children or very moral, easily offended people can look at them at any time. Yes, she should be proud of them, they were done by her beloved father, but have a seperate "gallery" room where they can be displayed but with a warning on the door! They definitely don't lend anything to the atmosphere of a centuries old chateau.
Agree. And I'm sure she likes seeing them, but they really do not complement the decor in any way. She should make one room for them. They are so garish, and it's not pleasant that they dominate pretty much every room. Wonder what her co-owners think of that?
I'm sure they go along with pretty much everything she wants...although Nik did voice some concerns about the cadeau at the chateau showings at first...not sure what he really thinks about them now since he seems to like being the recipient of some of the gifts.
To be honest she hasn't openly displayed the more racey art. However it is there if you look in background and from memory one in Pott's dutch pad (visible SJ instagram). She did say it was open to interpretation, and bare breasts, female arses in the air displaying like a male peacock, condoms, etc there is no doubt something was going on in his head. Like it wasn't a commentary on climate change or world peace. Definitely not part of the medieval scene/wrappinv paper which seems a one off. Taste in art is so individual. I find the sexualisation of women in the rudie nudie photos of the lesbian photographers offensive, creepy, lascivious and demeaning to women. Apart from Kim Kardashian, being naked is not empowering women to equality in society. Others may not share my views.

I have same question about the London flat. I have been confused ever since I saw she STILL HAS a London flat. She says in many videos that she raised money for Lalonde by she and Nic selling their flats. With the additional detail in the "Egyptologist" video that she sold her flat out from under Pott's feet. Then, she says she struggled financially with the chateau ever since (despite the chateau being fully and lushly furnished and window-dressed hmmmmm I've seen the Wedgwood on the mantel). Thus sad story, need help, need money.
Key question, I can't find answer: When was this London flat acquired? After she bought the chateau? If so, why wasn't money for the flat put into the chateau instead? I'm very confused. But now, maybe not so confused after reading here a bit and questioning SJ intentions.

My "credentials": I was one of the people who enjoyed CD since discovering it during lockdowns. Appreciated the entertainment. I'm not a Patron and use ad-blocker. Instead of the cadeau channel why not tell people the gifts were appreciated, it's been fun, but we have enough now, if you feel urge to give, please donate directly to "abc" worthy cause we support -- and film something about the worthy cause, interview them, show what they do. There's a post in this thread with a recap but where is the evidence, you're asking us to go through thousands of posts to find it. Who has time for that? Your message will get lost. If your intention is to protect vulnerable people from getting sucked in and donating their money and time, put the financial and volunteer facts in one fast easy place for us. Please consider.

The house of her grandmother is in Bézier and since her passing probably now shared with the rest of Isabel's siblings, but that's my guess, no real knowledge. Isabel however also owns an apartment in Agde, close to Bézier, that they usually rent out through an agent. She and Percy would go there when her mother was still alive to spend some private days. No clue if they still hang onto it. SJ would pretend to have 'forgotten' all about this property, find keys in her desk and then make a casual remark about 'her apartment at the Mediterranean'.
Great suggestion, will take some time to create but with the recent advertising by the subjects of our affection themselves and the amount of new people reading, it might really help.

It’s taken such bravery for you to talk about these trolls. It’s been affecting all of us at Lalande and Basmaignee for so long. Absolutely lovely people have been bullied so badly that they’ve even chosen to leave the chateau rather than take the abuse. Guests of mine who were not even in the vlog have been stalked and bullied, and the lies that have been made up are beyond belief. My departed wonderful, mild-mannered almost tee-total father has even been accused of being an alcoholic who sexually abused me as a child. The desire to gossip about others is human nature, and none of us mind light hearted speculation about who we’re dating, etc. But I can’t understand people who are so desperate to see evil in others that they invent it and disseminate it. The "official Doing it Ourselves" FB page mentions Tattle.Life (how I found you). Wish I had found you guys months ago! I was actually thinking the other day that I hoped the volunteers were paid after Phillip implies he's staying there until next Christmas. Come on, you're spending a year not earning money?
There’s speculation (or maybe it was mentioned on patreon) about Philip perhaps having received an inheritance when his grandfather died.
Veering off on a tangent, I've been wondering who exactly booked in for B&B at Lalande before the "exposure " (aka free advertising) the place received via ETTCDIY. Lalande's location - House in the Middle of Nowhere - doesn't seem the sort of place one would chose for a night of two away unless you had a specific reason to be in the area.
You raise an intetesting point. If the CD generate 5000 per month in advert revenue how does SJ compensate the regular characters (her term vlog 100) who participate even if its holding the camera? Is it all SJ's? Does a portion go towards Chateau (ie Nic & MP2)? Maybe each person now get a %.
