I loved season 1 and just catching up on season 2 now. At first I couldn’t stand Imani but she had pulled off a great plan - be an arsehole at the start, wind the group up, take the temptations, convert a few others and then draw back for your redemption arc 👏🏼 Vicky I cannot stand her moaning and not even trying BUT Sam is such a vile nasty bully that it’s making me like Vicky!
Yep, she's vile, her whole personality is bully. Vicky might moan but you can see she is a nice person. Think most of us would moan on those treks, especially just being a normal person who doesn't train. I saw an earlier thread on here about Sam, let me see if I can find it... got it. I will attach. That's a screen shot from a tattle thread two years ago, so apparently she has a criminal record!!

Nathaniel gives me so many red flag vibes. I thought it from ep 1. He reminds me of an ex. How he thought £10k was an acceptable amount to bid I have no idea - especially as he didn’t take anyone with him! I want Sam and David to go wild now.

Imani has really grown during this.

Never thought I'd be saying that at the start, haha

David seems more like the devil in disguise lol

David is really making me laugh, imagine his congregation watching!!!

Hugo is very innocent isn’t he, he’s got the purest heart and I think is learning a lot about himself, he holds others to high standards but also he holds himself to the same standards if not higher.

Sam’s such a hypocrite too, knowing what we know…. With the criminal record that she has and then choosing to ram someone’s car, she was clearing willing to risk prison and leave her children, so 18 days in the jungle is nothing.

I know that sounds harsh, but I said what I said….
Hugo is completely oblivious to his privilege, berating everyone for taking £4k because it's nothing to him. £4k is a huge amount of money to some people.

Sam can get to fuck, she's a nasty bully. Love Imani and I was convinced she was going to get on my nerves

Didn’t like Sam from day 1. Nothing to do with her attitude. She is the spitting image of the most vile narcissist I’ve ever met so she’d never have won me over. If she wasn’t a Scouser, I’d have sworn they were sisters.

David proving what I’d already learned from experience - vicars are extremely selfish people. They give out this air of being above us all but when it comes down to it, they are only looking out for themselves. I don’t think his congregation will be impressed.

Nathaniel is hilariously deluded.
'As the leader it's important the rest of the team respect I need to put myself first and look after myself to be a good leader for them' is his logic.

He didn't even take anyone with him - so he will literally have no one on his side. I thought he'd take the vicar as they seemed to be buddies.
My first thoughts about him were delusional, selfish and a hypocrite! And he ate their food before he went! What a knob!

I think Nathaniel is worse than Sam! ‘testing’ David into keeping his secret temptation of the coffee shop & then trying to get the rest of his team not to tell anyone about the Chinese! just so he can look good in front of Sam and keep his ‘leadership’. The way he goes around shaking hands with the people who don’t take temptation is giving me the ick, he has so much unnecessary self importance & audacity.

I did hope there would be a twist that whoever took the bag that was all they got and everything they spent on temptations got split between the others.

After watching tonight’s episode I’ve decided that restaurant lady is a nasty bully. Who does she think she is?! She’s so aggressive! What was she expecting signing up for this programme? She needs to chill out and enjoy the process.

I am howling!! This is brilliant viewing! I cannot get over:
1) spending £10k
2) taking it all to himself - 2 steaks
3) eating their food

Hahahaha to think they were all worked about Imani, cannot wait for jail bird Sam’s reaction

Hugo was a bit selfish there. Michael was only not staying on the already paid for yacht to support him. Then Hugo says 'oh I can do this on the outside world any time' not thinking for one second Michael probably can't. I know Michael is his own person and could make up his own mind but how to make personal sacrifices isn't always obvious.

Whatever she takes as treats I'm always in awe of Trisha's resilience. She mentions her sore hips sometimes but honestly for nearly 60 she's doing amazingly in those conditions.

So I binged the first series last night and then caught up on the new series today. Loving it, I think the casting on the first series was better but enjoying this one so far.
I feel like they are so much more volatile this season, the restaurant lady is awful, a vile bully…. However brilliant tv! Her and Imani clashing is keeping the show afloat! I feel like Imani is the wish version of Lani.

Sam is such an old sour puss. A complete misery guts.
I don't know why she took the moral high ground with Nathaniel and David as she would have happily taken the money. David using God to justify absolutely every shady choice 😂 And how much of that money is going on hymn books do we think? I imagine God will tell him to spend it on a nice holiday.
Did they explain how they worked out the final totals? I must have missed that. Eg how did Hugo end up with one of least amounts? Was it to do with the atm?
