Tapatalk app will no longer work with Tattle Life from December 2nd

Tapatalk does cause a lot of issues for running the site, less than 2% of users use it and is totally not needed as tattle life works great in a mobile browser. So from next week it will no longer work with tattle.

I know some will be disappointed by that, but once you get used to using tattle on your browser hopefully you'll see that it provides a great experince with all the same features.

If you're using tapa talk now is probably a good time to switch to using your browser and check you can login ok

You can still use it on your phone Helen is saying just use the browser on your phone, rather than the app. I use tattle on the phone browser (Safari) all the time and it's great!

Definitely tattle will still be working in your phone. In a web browser it works much better than that outdated app and has less adverts.

It's just a bit of a liability supporting that app and it delayed updates.

If there's anything you think can be improved on the site let me know and I'll work on it! I do keep meaning to add more colours to the site - there's red and dark at the moment.

Even though I have the latest iPhone this site just doesn’t seem to respond well to the browser apps. I will miss Tapatalk though purely out of ease of use.

Hi, sorry to hear that. Can you be a bit more specific about how it doesn't respond well?

I've tested it on loads of phones and it all seems to work better without the app as the site is designed to be mobile first and you can create a web link so it's as easy as an app to get to

Sorry for being so brief - I had to run to class after the lunch bell! For me, whenever I go to type in the search feature, it seems to jump to the bottom of the page and then freeze. Notifications can get quite ‘sticky’ whenever I’m viewing them but the overall performance of the website is fine. I’ve been testing on both safari and chrome and I’m getting the same effects. Both have been updated, un/reinstalled, I’ve restarted my device and it’s pretty much the same every time.
My iPad though is fine so I can use it in the meantime, but it’s just frustrating when I’m trying to find out the latest Ingham scandal while on the go and the website keeps mucking up

Ah thanks, yes the search thing on the latest iOS is annoying. It's apples fault but this is a big reason why tapatalk isn't supported anymore as it delayed updates to the site.

Now that tapatalk is gone I'll be updating the site tomorrow (provided I wake up early enough as its at least 15 mins downtime if everthing goes well) so it should fix these

I ditched Tapatalk a long time ago anyway but the new iOS made things a little bit glitchy.

It’s all back to normal now,
the search option used to jump all over the screen and sometimes it was hard to quote a portion of a comment but as far as I can see it’s all back to normal.
