Inspired by the crisps and savoury snacks thread, I thought we could do with a sweet version (have looked and can't see a thread already - apologies if there is one). Would love to know what everyone's favourite sweet snacks and treats are at the moment. I tried the Cadbury mini egg bar the other day and it was so good, loved all the "micro" eggs in it!

I'm currently in my Kinder Happy Hippo phase, a friend bought me a couple of boxes for my birthday so I've been making my way through those!

oooh i've had a few Kinder Happy Hippo phases. Which ones do you prefer - cocoa or hazelnut?
Anything Kinder is incredible. I found some Kinder Bueno mini eggs the other day and they were SO good - quite pricey but definitely worth it.

My kind of thread

As much as I do love crisps, I have a bigger sweet tooth. Also a big Kinder fan - right now it’s the Kinder Cards. I buy them for my children as well as the Hippos. My favourite chocolate bar changes all the time, I like pretty much all kinds but my top three would be a Starbar, a Dairy Milk Whole Nut and Galaxy Caramel. I also love Lindt chocolate.
With jelly sweets I love rhubarb and custard Squashies, Haribo Starmix and Bassetts Jelly Babies. Not too keen on the fizzy/sour sweets though.

US imported sweets I like are Mike and Ikes, Milk Duds and Reese’s peanut butter cups.

it's a close one but I'd have to say hazelnut!

My sweet tooth is a problem always going down the sweet aisle to check out new stuff and treating myself

Same! I'm all over the crisp thread, but definitely opt for sweet stuff more. Oooh i've never had the Kinder Cards, which is ridiculous as I know I'll love them cos all kinder stuff is incredible. What great choices!

My fave sweets would probably be jelly tots, strawberry millions, percy pigs.. god the list just goes on. but definitely more of a chocolate girl - Lindt, Hotel Chocolat, Galaxy, Cadbury! Anything without raisins in is right up my street

haha very good choice. I love all the time little crumby bits on the side of the hippo too - i'm a nibbler when it comes to biscuits and stuff, so like to sit and nibble them all off. weird I know, but keeps me entertained at least haha

Skinny bars. Skinny bars are bliss, especially the toffee whip and crunch ones. Caramel ones are good too though!

Kinder Bueno, Crispy M&Ms, or the Milky bar mini eggs you get at Easter!
You neeeeed to try the kinder bueno mini eggs. I found them in my local Tesco, they are so good!!
Right, favourite cakes and biscuits please? As if I don’t have enough indulgence in my life, I would like more haha. My faves atm are the Waitrose almond croissants, they are so good.

Cake wise, I could honestly finish a sainsburys chocolate swiss roll by myself in a couple days (and they're not small ) and I do love a bit of angel cake!

I love the M&S biscakes and yumnuts, usually pick some up from the bakery

Used to love a Greggs cake but their selection are shite these days. Apple turnover or a chocolate eclair. I also love a cream slice - the cream cake selection from Sainsbury’s is good. I usually pick some up to take to my nana when I visit

I’m obsessed with chocolate raisins at the minute! In my head, they’re healthy!

omg yes! I forgot about their swiss rolls. I'm quite picky when it comes to swiss rolls (such a connoisseur haha) but theirs is elite.

Although the absolute top tier cake/sweet/chocolate roll is the chocolate roulade from Cook. It's expensive, but oh my goodness it is the tastiest thing. I get it for Christmas every year and end up eating most of it by myself.

Yessss pick n mix! I haven't had any in ages cos I always see people dipping their hands in to select their sweets sick but maybe i'll have to go to one of those 'ye olde sweet shops' you see in tourist towns. white mice and strawberry bonbons were always my faves!

Morrisons have a really good bakery section! Their cream slices and turnovers are really tasty, and always on some sort of offer.

Sorry for all the quotes in one post, i'm just too excited by all the sweet treats! Although it's making me so hungry
