Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere I did use the search and couldn’t find anything.

I struggle to get motivated with a fitness regime when the gyms are closed and don’t particularly enjoy working out at home. I do a big walk/jog with my dog in the mornings but to really stay in shape I need to do more and I’m hoping (don’t laugh) to go away end of March so I want to be looking my best.

I did the Body Coach 90 day programme when he first started it and had excellent results. Other than that I’ve never done any online programme but I remember seeing results from the BBG girls when I was doing the BC and thinking they looked fab.

I’ve had the sweat app for ages so I signed up for a month last night as a bit of motivation and to see how I get on but just wondered if anyone had any experience and results with the app/BBG they would like to share?

I know I’m not going to be able to fully stick to the eating plan but I do eat a pretty healthy balanced diet anyway and I’m going to try to cut alcohol for at least a month but aim for 3. So I would particularly be interested to know if anyone made any progress with the exercise part alone x

Hey, I did the 12 weeks BBG at the end of last year. My experience probably isn’t the one you were most hoping for but saw there were no responses so thought I’d share. So I actually gained weight but that’s definitely not the fault of BBG, I just couldn’t stop eating, it was pretty out of control 😬 I did lose weight in the first few weeks though when I was still eating well so I’m confident you will lose weight if you don‘t go on a massive food binge like I did!

I always thought the BBG workouts would be really easy but they’re not! It can depend on your level of strength and fitness I guess but the more you put in the more you’ll get out. To start with I really enjoyed them even though they were hard and I liked the structure and having something to follow. But towards the end of the 12 weeks I got really bored. It felt like it was just the same exercises over and over and I had a week or two where I just dreaded it and didn’t want to do it so then I started still using the app but just changing some of the exercises to ones I enjoy more. I’ve still got the subscription and think I’m going to start PWR/PWR at home next week using the equipment I have at home.
Anyway I don’t know if any of that’s helpful, probably not, hope some others might reply but I’d still definitely recommend giving it a try

I tried this programme a few years ago. I did not enjoy it and saw very little results. It was so boring and repetitive. I also found it quite tough on my joints.

Were you trying to follow her diet plan? Perhaps you couldn’t stop eating because you wasn’t getting enough energy to fuel your workouts?

I’ve done 2 workouts so far and I’m bored already!! And I feel as though I could end up ‘bulking up’ a bit. I know some people like that look but it’s not for me.

No I wasn’t following her diet plan, I usually just count my calories and try to be healthy with a few treats but I went through a bit of a difficult time and went back to binge eating so that was totally on me and not BBG. I was definitely getting enough fuel just not the right sort 😬

Hey, I’ve been doing it off and on. Found it hard and boring... but I’ve switched to the barre program and am enjoying that x

I did the full programme and then some (for about 16 weeks) before my wedding back when it was just an ebook download. I absolutely loved it and saw amazing results; I followed a high protein/low carb alongside. Lost approx 18lb and ended up with a fine set of abs (long gone by now!).

That’s good going girl! 🙌🏼
I do know what works/what has worked for me and I actually have a plan from my PT that I can follow but it’s not motivating me enough to workout at home. I guess I’m the problem because I get bored easily!

I was in the same boat - I had been weight training with a PT but I was in a situation where I didn’t want to give up 90mins for workouts anymore. With BBG I could just bash out a session in 28 mins four times a week and that was that. Because it’s repetitive there were some workouts I dreaded, but I knew it would be over. All I had was a mat, some bands, a kettlebell and some dumbbells. I’ve never been as toned as I was when I did it. I’ve got some back issues now that means the programme doesn’t work for me - there’s a lot of jumping etc which makes it high impact for joints. I can PM you my before and after pics if it helps to see results! Good luck! xxx

I think it’s maybe changed a little as there isn’t many circuits I can see with jumping in. One has burpees, one has jump lunge and one has star jumps but these are on different days.

I found BBG too hard, even the pretraining.
I did another programme called BodyBoss, which is similar to BBG (although there’s no app- it is a book/ebook but you can mark workouts as completed on your online account and there is a video of each one.) it’s a 12 week workout programme (plus 4 week pre training if needed). I managed to complete it and lost a stone and a half. (I didn’t follow any particular diet plan whilst doing it- just calorie counting and eating healthier food)
I did attempt BBG after completing BodyBoss but for some reason it just doesn’t work for me.

A friend mentioned this one to me! I might check that out thank you.

I have just signed up and liking it so far. Hoping fir good results. I also run a couple of times a week. I do t follow the BBG food plan as I like junk 😂. I do calorie count and eat lots of protein. I also do Lucy Wyndham Read you tube workouts. Quick and easy. So much choice out there. Make sure the method you pick is sustainable. 90 day plan I did when it first came out was not. And I now hate hiit.

I hate hiit now but at the time I did 90 day plan I loved it and I had a lot of time to prep the meals. Couldn’t do it now.

Check out Caroline Girvan! She has an amazing 10 week plan for free on Youtube. She is also doing another new free plan in January.

Guys what about Rachael Attard lean legs programme anyone tried that? I like the very lean look for myself and her 8 week transformations look fab but maybe a little unrealistic? Not sure if they’re photoshopped or not? Her plan seems to fit in with the morning walk I do already and the workouts are not too time consuming or heavy on the joints.

OK scrap that I’ve just looked closer at some of the pics. And Wow! 🤦🏻‍♀️
